Sorry, No. Cannot do it... There are at least three perfumes from this wonderful house that are true hardcore Holy Grail scents that I intend never to be without - if I can help it!

Ambre Sultan
Fleurs D'Oranger
Cuir Mauresque
Arabie
Encens et Lavande
......

Other Serge Lutens Loves:

Un Lys
Chergui
Daim Blond
Cedre
A La Nuit
Douce Amere
Musc Koublai Khan

Un Cèdre is my choice.
Where is Fleurs d'Oranger? And Muscs Kublai Khan? These are my favourites.
Voted Fumerie Turque, but Arabie comes a very close second. Daim Blond and Douce Amere follows as favourites too.
How easier it would have been to name those I loathe...but since I wanna play this game, I voted for Chergui, my "oldest" love.
If you asked me this question a couple of months ago, I would have said Fumerie Turque - hands down. However, after discovering Tauer's L'Air, the balance has now changed.

I voted for Arabie because of its complexity and amazing longevity. The more I wear it the more I love it...

Well, Muscs Kublaï Khan appears!!
Close between three of them, but Ambre Sultan wins out.
Un Bois Sepia my vote.
Its either Iris Silver Mist or Chergui for me.

I voted for Iris Silver Mist (apparently I am the only one)
Of the ten Serge Lutens I have sampled, the only one I cannot wear is MKK (though it makes me laugh for its sheer audacity)

I vote for Fleurs d'Oranger in first place, though.

Closely followed by
Gris Clair
Sa Majeste la Rose
Ambre Sultan
Datura Noir
Daim Blond
Ooops! Selected the wrong choice. Should have been Arabie.
Oh maaaan... this was so tough. I finally decided on Chergui, although at the last second I regretted the decision and thought, "NOOO I WANTED TO VOTE FOR MKK!"

Borneo 1834
I know where 's FLEURS D 'ORANGER??

I had to vote other...

Fleurs d 'Oranger is Serge Lutens worldwide best seller, more unconventional scents like Muscs koublaï Khan or Iris Silver Mist seem get more attention on blogs and perfume boards.

Well, I will explain it.

The maximum choices to make a poll are 20, so, sadly, scents like Fleurs D'Oranger, Tuberose Criminelle, etc (more on the femenine side) remainded out of the list. After all, this is the male forum

I understand...but you guys come to the womens side a lot too lol

I voted for Vetyver Oriental . While I am also quite fond of Fumerie Turque & Borneo, I often find it hard picking just the right time to wear them. Vetiver Oriental is the most versatile Lutens I have tried, fitting almost any occasion. It has the all the richness and depth one would expect to find in a Lutens fragrance while at the same time posessing a bright, clean, modern edge. I find it completely original. It also has fairly good sillage & longevity on me. Vetiver Oriental is indeed a beauty. And, I'm surprised at how little attention it gets....definately an under rated hidden gem.

I'm a huge fan of Chergui and Fumerie Turque. I only one Chergui but hope to get its brother fragrance soon. Well worth the money paid for it.
My trinity of favorite Serges are: Ambre Sultan, Chergui, and Fumerie Turque. Close behind are: Cuir Mauresque, Santal de Mysore, Douce Amere.

I voted for Fumerie Turque this time, because it is my newest one ...
Santal de Mysore is another great one but I haven't worn it enough to rate it against my other favourites - I currently only have a 10ml decant that I'm using sparingly!
I voted for Daim Blond. It's a tough choice... I also love Gris Clair and Douce Amère, as well as Miel de Bois. I wish I knew some of the others that are not in the export line. I'd love to smell Fumerie Turque, for example. Maybe when the San Francisco Barney's opens, it'll be here.
I am currently enraptured by Miel et Bois, that is, after the 'tiger cage' note mellows out and it becomes beeswax and smooth wood.
On the other wrist, Arabie is great from the moment I apply it until it fades away.
Daim Blonde, which I was initially ecstatic for, has become a very sour experience for me. I can not find the suede any longer - now, all I'm getting is apricot!

February 23rd ??

Is this a month long poll?

Everyone whos familiar with lutens frags must have already cast their vote.
Alphabetical order

Ambre Sultan
Arabie
Borneo 1834
Chêne
Cuir Mauresque
Chergui
Daim Blond
Encens et Lavande
Fumerie Turque
Iris Silver Mist
Muscs Koublaï Khän
Sa Majeste La Rose
Santal de Mysore

To call Lutens and Sheldrake magicians is standard reference. It's hard to believe what they've conjured and made manifest. Regarding perfume, there has never been anything even remotely like it as far as know.
Chergui, with Un Bois Vanille a close second. I also like Daim Blond and Gris Clair, but I haven't sampled FT yet.
linnea, of course you meant to vote for MKK, I could've told you that: big d'uh!

and pluran, isn't your review of CM a pan? guess you have to write another one. . .
It was another for me meaning Santal De Mysore.
I can't pick just one so I can't vote at all.
I'm surprised no one mentioned Chypre Rouge. My favorite this week. I want each one of them in at least 10oz decants and I'm chipping away at it.
I've only tried Chergui, Santal Blanc, Muscs Kublai Khan, Arabie Sultan, Vetyver Oriental and Datura Noir.

The very popular Chergui, and the not as popular Datura Noir reminded me of honey with brown sugar and hay--or was that candied fruit wrapped in leather? I forgot rather quickly.

Chergui is the better balanced of the two, but still not for me.

Vetyver Oriental I compared unfaborably to Guerlian, L'Occitane and a couple of others. Not bad, I like it better than L'Artisan's.

Arabie Sultan? Amber with herbs, pass.

Santal Blanc is just not up to par. The only one I'd give a thumbs down, the rest are a "neutral" for me, though I can easily see how others would find these well constructed frags an easy 5 stars thumbs up.

(Now I've GOT to try Fumerie Turque and Santal de Mysore.
Or are these just honeyed tobacco and honeyed sandalwood?)

So, the winner in my book is ----drum roll, please.

MKK!

A religious experience. Great for sweaty nights.
It's like making love in the mud with two beautiful, nubile, and wonderfully depraved nymphomaniacs.

Three-way tie for me: Cedre, Encens et Lavande and Un Bois Sepia, with the ever-popular (and wonderful, IMO) Chergui getting an honorable mention as the only frag from the recent women's thread Lutens-fest that elicited a compliment from a non-relative. Un Bois Sepia got my vote as my husband's favorite of my faves!
