V. Day scents that you received / that you gifted

I'd like the hear from my fellow BN's who received Valentine's Day fragrances as a gift, or that you gave your valentine. What frags? Did you like them (did they like them), etc.?

My boyfriend gave me Numero Uno by Carthusia - wow, never had heard of it before & instantly loved it. Numero Uno reminds me of the Acqua di Parma Colonia line...but it's got rosemary & a faint eucalyptus in the middle note that is SO unique. It's sexy as hell.

It surprised me, since he is not a fragrance junkie like me (although he tolerates my hours perusing the web/Basenotes) and his last scent gift was a small gift set of minis, from that mens skin care line Anthony for Men (Anthony Logistics). They were cute but they smelled like expensive Axe body sprays...horrid.

I also got a bunch of samples (he bought it from Aedes NY & they're SO generous): 4 different Annick Goutal's (very interested in this line, having only smelled Songes that I didn't like) and some L'Artisan samples (YAY!) including Ananas Fizz...

My s.o. HATES fragrance and he'd never buy it for me. So I treated myself! Ordered Trussardi Uomo, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Zino Davidoff from Scentedmonkey.

By the way, I can't recommend that site highly enough. Great prices, friendly service, and orders processed super fast. I ordered yesterday and received everything today.

I gifted myself SL Chypre Rouge, and I am enjoying it thus far.

The s.o. suggested that if my rent goes up and cuts into my luxuries budget, someone might be able to spoil me with things like new fragrances, within reason. I think permission to ask for what I really want 'just because' is the perfect, if non-corporeal, fragrance gift.

I didn't gift myself any frags, as I'm on a buying hiatus for now. Nor did I gift my mom any perfume like I normally do, as she's got a lot for her usage pattern.

As for my dad, he's never been a smelly guy. Stinky at times, yes, but not smelly.
