Just received my new Creeds.

As I'm still on vacation, I was here just typing my SOTD when there was a knock on the door.

There was my parcel from Fragrance Alley - an E-bay dealer in the US. Inside the parcel was my Creed Original Santal and Erolfa. I had only bought them 8 days ago and here they were.

Original Santal has a fleeting superficial resemblance to Joop - nothing like the assertions in the Directory reviews that it is almost the same as Joop. Joop is loud, Original Santal is more subdued and classier.

And Erolfa is just plain delightful.

Erolfa is good, but I like Original Santal a lot more. It really blossoms in cold weather - I went through half a bottle of it this winter. I get a great mix of orange blossom, coriander and sandalwood from it. I will buy a 4Oz bottle of it after I am done with my 2oz. one. Great stuff.

Thanks for that, it's good to know. We're still in the middle of a very hot summer at the moment, so it sounds like I won't be testing Original Santal properly for quite a while yet.
