M7 alternative

I have worn M7 for quite a while and have found myself tired of the amber present in the scent. Something more like the body wash would be ideal. I have and love M7 fresh but I want something more dry and woodsy.
Any suggestions?

Sounds like Ungaro III might fit the bill. But its longevity is lousy compared to M7.

This might be due to my nose, however, I find JHL to remind me of M7.

GPH is a drier and much woodier version of M7. Its also less sweet and more spicy. If M7 were a dog, GPH would be a wolf.

Whats GPH again? I once asked for an alternative to M7 Fresh, to no avail, so I'm interested in M7 alternatives also.

Comme de Garcons 2 Man is a GREAT M7-ish scent.

The 'smokiness' in the 2 Man is more 'campfire or wood burning smoke' not the 'burning plastic' of M7, in my opinion.

Also got a sample last month of Idole by Lubin & it reminded me a little of M7 (maybe a little more like Gucci Pour Homme...)

GPH=Gucci Pour Homme. Which is also similar to CdG 2 (from what I hear).

D'oh. Of course. I find GPH and Man 2 rather churchy, not really an alternative to M7 (although I can also see what they have in common).

I second Comme de Garcons 2 Man, though it has some aldehydes in it which give the scent a bit different vibe from M7.

Antaeus is also a scent you would probably like a lot.

Habit Eau de Parfum is probably what you're looking for....
it's a much more imaginative take on the Agarwood note than M7 in my opinion!

When I'm in the mood for a scent like M7, I mentally flip a coin to choose between M7 or Michael Kors -- they both fill the bill for me.

You might want to give Azzaro Visit a try, although you may find the nutmeg note too pronounced. It's less sweet than M7 though.

The first that came to my mind as well - if it's the amber that is the problem.

Also its cousins Tuscany and Aramis 900.

I wouldn't recommend Gucci PH as it's an amber scent through and through.

Santos by Cartier is a lot like M7.

Or try one of the CDG Incense series. Like Avignon or Jaisalmer.

I sooooooooo want to try the EDP! Where the heck so u find this stuff???

If you can't find anything as an M7 alternative, go to an arabic oil store, get oudh (agarwood), vetiver, and amber oils and mix em. Those are the most distinctive parts of M7 imo.
