London - Page 4

This great blog by Persolaise should help! Have fun.
Selfridges is crazy, busy but Liberty slightly more intimate and restrained.

Roja Dove at Harrods. Ask for "Les Larmes Sacrees de Thebes". It's very exclusiv and very worth a sniff.

Hi guys,

I'm spending 4 days in London. Where can I buy L'Air du Desert Morocaine and other Andy Tauer stuff?

Thanks in advance!

Greetings, fragrance brothers (and sisters!)

I will be visiting London soon and despite living only an hour or so from the big smoke (and having lived there for four years) I try to avoid it, due to the sheer amount of people and feeling of being 'rushed'. However, occasionally, I have meetings etc there and next week will be heading over for the day.

I'd like to try Leather Oud and Coromandel; any other suggestions? My collection currently stands at around 150 bottles, with a good mix of designer and niche. I haven't yet updated my wardrobe but any and all suggestions of some frags that are difficult to find elsewhere would be appreciated.

With thanks!

By chance I got my Ormonde Jayne sample set last week, so +1 on that. Suggested: Tiare (if you like citrus), Ormonde man/woman if you like woods; Tolu if orientals.

If you try the Dior exclusives, I'd recommend also trying Eau Noire. For the Chanels, Sycomore and Cuir de Russie. And if the Amouage store has the oils, you could try those as well (Tribute: big tobacco; Molook: ambergris, then there is an oud-musk whose name I forgot).

Get some Amouages and some Guerlain exlusives

Lots of selection !!!!!
I think Penhaligon's is also in Burlington Arcade.
Fortnum and Mason which across from the Burlington Arcade - 2nd floor the perfumery dept.
Harrods- you got to go to the 7th floor and visit the Haute Parfumerie. Just mention you are a Basenoter - it helps . Also Harrods Perfumery on the ground floor. Then across from the side of Harrods is SpaceNK - they have all kinds of scents including Francis Kurkdjian and Nasomatto .
Harvey Nichols is very close to Harrods so it's worth a pop in as well. They have Van Cleef & Arpels , By Kilian and Serge Lutens amongst others..........
I want to go with you ! Have fun !

Good suggestion, dollars.

I think the Voyage London 04 by Guerlain is an interesting scent. It's like Marmite--love it or hate it.

It's a fruity spice with leather, although no online sources cite the leather, it's written up in the box insert.

What about the Santa Maria Novella shop in Kensington?

I would also try the new Roja Dove male line in Harrods, and perhaps report back with your findings
