Thanks to André
in Montreal for the news concerning this new offering from Guerlain.

Has anyone tried this? Is this just an exclusive for the Guerlain boutiques?
Someone spill the dirt on this!

Thanks

Is it really a new fragrance, or just a special edition with a beautiful bottle?

By the description it sounds like the summer version. Agrumes=citrus fruits. It seems like Eau d'Ete or Summer doesn't cut it anymore, see Ice*Men and Kouros Tattoo (Which I haven't tried yet. Ah well whatever, I'll happily be proven wrong.)

The L'Instant summer version of 2006 was a vapid and fleeting offering. They'd better not do it again!

I stopped by Bergdorf Goodman precisely to check this out. They don't have it and have not even heard about it. When I asked the SA, she told me they don't get every new fragrance from Guerlain "especially when it is too mainstream like L'Instant". Those were her exact words. I thought this was preposterous. They are supposed to be the premier US boutique for Guerlain and to say that L'Instant is just too mainstream for them to have is just plain stupid.

André,
Any word on this yet in Montreal?
Merci

Yes, it is available at l'Institut Guerlain only, at least so far. I am still waiting to get confirmation whether or not Vetiver Extreme will come to Montreal.

I've tried it about a month ago.
Not bad scent at all. Citrsuy version of L'Instant pour Homme I would say.

The cocoa note seems to be a bit toned down too.

Deeablo,
It wasn't watered down like last year's Ete(summer) version, I hope?
I thought it was weaker than last year's D'un Ete. The citrusy top notes are very nice but only last for a few minutes, at least on me. The dry down is a weak version of the original. Having said that, you can still tell that it is a cousin of the original L'Instant. I like it, but generally, I prefer "quiet" scents.

As far as I remember the 2006 version was minty and icy.
And no, the 2007 version is not that watered down. Just the original Instant +citrus basically I believe.

It's on sale in Berlin, Germany. I tried it and found it boring rather than fascinating. It's lighter than the original and smells vaguely of more citrus. And that's it.
