What's Within Walking Distance of the Roosevelt Hotel in NYC?

I'll be at the Roosevelt (45th and Madison) in late April. What are the best shopping stops within walking distance (for me that's about 3-5 miles round trip)?

I haven't lived in NYC for 15 years (except for a 4-month period a few years ago). However, you're in a good spot for strolling and sniffing. There's Barneys at 5th Ave and 47th, Bergdorf Goodman on 5th Ave at 57th, Chanel right around the corner from Bergdorf's, the Dior men's boutique next to that, Takashimaya at 5th and 55. I'm sure there's lots more, too, but I feel compelled to point out that there's also Grand Central station at 42nd on the East Side (at or near Madison) so you're just a short subway ride away from plenty more fragrance shopping.
