Both vanilla-power scents...

Anyone can clearly point out the differences? Cause im having difficulty seperating the two on my skin.. le male perhaps has that slightly "medicinal syrup" thing going which Pi doesnt...

pi is more fresh/metallic

I get some odd seaside/coconut thing happening with Le Male on my skin - maybe the experts can tell me which note causes that.

Pi seems to work a whole lot better.

Okay, I haven't personally tried Pi, but was asking the saleslady what it smelled like to maybe purchase for my son, she said, too sweet, not so good. I know it's her subjective opinion, but the woman does sell perfume everyday & has smelled ALOT. I had this saleslady at Saks approach me with this fragrance (LeMale), trying to sell it to me, for ME. She said, "isn't this delicious?" "Men wear this, but so do alot of women." It was nice, but not that great to me, but maybe you would like it, I don't know.

I believe that fragrances like this smells good to most noses at first - the problem is, that whole day with a fragrance like Pi is really painful experience to many, especially in a warm country like Malesia. What I want to say is, that beware of buying cloying powerhouse scents before testing several times, full day wears. I might be wrong, but my guess is that not many have actually used a whole bottle of Pi .

Few years ago I made the mistake of buying several gourmands and other ultra-sweet scents and ended up giving them away in a week or two. Exactly same happened to my brother.

Sorry for going kind of off-topic.

When scents are as overwhelmingly sweet as Pi and Le Male, I have the same experience: they become hard to differentiate. The vanilla syrup seems to distract me from anything else that's going on.

If I had to choose between the two, I'd probably go for Pi. To me it seems less synthetic and a bit better balanced.

Pi - better and a lot more versatile, IMHO. In addition, I'm now sick and tired of Le Male.

Pi

Hands down winner
The guy asks what the differences are and people resort to simply telling that Pi is the hands down winner But that's probably because the headline is worded like all those "which one should I get" threads.

Anyway, the main difference imho is that Pi is VERY vanilla centered, while Le male has some darker and minty notes that simply make it more interesting. If Pi was labeled a unisex scent, I would still find it too feminine. It's just vanilla cookies on me. So like someone else noted, I think there are a number of other scents actually much closer to Le Male than Pi is. Or that are between LM and Pi, like the aforementioned Rochas Man.

Oh yeah, and for me, Le Male is the winner

Good Point. Apologies.

PI has a slightly "cuprous" (for lack of a better description) edge to it. Someone else mentioned earlier in the thread, the metallic note.
Sometimes i really dislike that note.

But for me Pi is nicer than Le Male. Its richer and creamier.

IMO totally different...
pi is literally sugar
while le male is more of the medicinal syrup thing...as said
