Need help - fragrance for my girlfriend

She's a 40something years old, works in a very formal job, always wears with class and understatement. Despite this conservative surface, she enjoys rock clubs, looks much, much younger, and is very, very sexy.

By the way, she wears a Victoria's Secret fragrance (don't remember what), but I would enjoy if she tries more sophisticated (perhaps a french classic)stuff.

One more thing: she's divorced, and has a child.

No niche, please.

What about Gucci edp; it is not niche; but it has personnality. I'm 40 something and rather fond of it.

You're GF's profile sounds a bit like me. You didn't specify, day or evening scents. So for some easier to find and wearable scents in warm climates, I'm thinking:

- anything chanel (Bois des Iles, Coco, Chance, Allure Sensuelle)
- most guerlains (Mitsouko, Shalimar, L'Instant)

the following designer fragrances are also easy to wear for day or evening:
- Prada or Prada Tendre
- Armani Sensi
- Bulgari for Women
- Ange or Demon
- Flower by Kenzo

Meet her for coffee, escort her to the nearest fully stocked perfume counter, spritz with any of the aforementioned (all excellent suggestions in my experience) and you guys choose together - your treat! :bounce: (Make sure she spritzes - don't rely on scent strips. Take a few coffee beans along with you for between-sniff clearing!)

I agree with the Chanels (Allure, Coco, No.5 would be nice)

Also..Bvlgari pour femme, Jaipur Saphir, Shalimar, Samsara, Jill Sander No.4 would all be very classy scents for a 40 y/o woman.

Thanks for all suggestions. I'm eager to try them.

I'm especially interested in Gucci EDP, the Chanels (especially Coco and Allure), and the Guerlains (especially Shalimar and L'Instant).

My knowledge about female fragrances is close to nothing. The only suggestion I'm familiar is Chance.

Dimples, I'm thinking more on evening scents.

When I get it, I will post here about my decision (and about her opinion also). It may take some time to decide, but it will happen sooner or later.
