Thanks for the Brittaney Spears 4 EVER!!!!!!, Grant!

Égoïste for me today.

Have a happy Sunday, and be careful...
Fooled by Grant, had to use Google to find my way here today.

My SotD - and this is not an april-joke: Chanel No 19.

Citron Citron (Miller Harris) Have a restful Sunday.
Off to France tomorrow - can't wait!!
Seems I am too late to enjoy Grants joke. What a pity, I really love Britney Spears

As if I ever would forget the first of April! The day I organised a huge party at the Rotterdam Zoo to celebrate my engagement.
Thinking it was all one big joke (and so did the rest of the guests)

No, 1 April is a day to be treated with much caution!

I think Guet Apens is very, very appropriate for today

The joke is still there, Riannon. This thread usually goes to BN:s first page, but at the moment it goes to Brittaney:

I also was a little shocked for a couple of seconds:P Had to google basenotes.Anyway,my scent of the day is Feminite du Bois.I absolutely adore this one!!
I'm not wearing any scent today! Can y'all believe it?

.... kidding! Diptyque L'Ombre dans L'Eau
post #9 of 45
Britney - brilliant. Thanks Grant - I enjoyed the chuckle!

More violets today - Caron Aimez Moi. I have this one in a solid, and I really like the clever solid powder formulations Caron do.

Miss Dior EDT pour moi. I'm loving it too, this was my first 'grown up' fragrance that my big sister bought me for my 18th birthday, I've had it in one form or another in my collection ever since then.

There was a slightly amusing April Fool on the radio today, they announced that the London Underground were installing deodorising archways as you enter the tube, armpits need to be lifted and automatically sprayed, to ensure freshness for all passengers. They even had a 'spokesman' talking about it. Quite funny, it had me fooled for a nano-second!! (how do I use the smiles here BTW?)
Caron Aimez Moi as inspired by purplebird7's violet thread (first wanted it to be Curious as inspired by the Home Page!).
The Flower thread got me started this ayem (gonna have a Week of Annette Neuffer - aka Jaztweety - starting tomorrow and wanted a smooth segue!! :bounce and I am awaft (is that a word?) in Hermes' Hiris. This has pretty good longevity on me but I am thinking that later on I will overspray with Iris Poudre from my Malle samples.

Be careful. Be very careful today!!

Guerlain - Herba Fresca
Thanks Grant, thats was quite funny! Thankfully, I clicked on the link below and brought be back to this community.

My dehumidifer played a BIG joke on me. The container which holds the water leaked and left a big pond for me to clean up.

This morning I started with Marc Jacobs then switched to Annick Goutal's Folavril. Went to the shopping mall and found JPG's newly launched Fleur du Male, I immediately felt head over heels with the orange blossom component!!! I then spayed on some Clean Baby Girl before I came home.

Attrape-Coeur for me.
Narciso Rodriguez EDT (but it's almost completely vanished already).
Aww, I was fooled completely by grant's Brittany page and thought OMG Basenotes has received a good hacker treatment

I am wearing Marc Jacobs Amber on this cloudy, cool, spring-denying Sunday - but my deep pink azalea bloomed already and my jasmine is laden with little buds!
I, too, was fooled by the Brittany jest.Thought, "Damn, hackers! Or some idiot who swiped the domain name. But with a sense of humor at least..." Googled to get through to the community. Good one, Grant!!!! :bounce:

I am going to be scent twins with Taolady today! (And if "awaft" is not a word, it SHOULD be! )
Hermes' Hiris on the wrists, with Iris Poudre from a sample at the elbows!

May also go full out and play a bit with Diptyque's Jardin Clos later on, making the "garden" on my skin bloom more fully!
I'm wearing Tam Dao today. I could use a little Zen
post #20 of 45
Great joke - I too was fooled.

I'm Very irresistable today; in fact I smell very minty bubblegummy; not at all of roses.

Thank you Margareta! Don't understand why my computer went right to the correct and usual board.
Playing it's own April Fool's Day joke, it seems.

And before I lose the sad remains of my reputation forever: I hereby solemly declare that I don't adore Britney. To be honest, I don't give a..... well......

It seems the A-Team is as drowsy as I am. And very absentminded. Well.....even without scent!
Hannibal!! We must have a very serious conversation, I'm afraid.

My Hummer-size Wet Garden bottle finally arrived. So I'm hosed with that and Nouveau Gardenia.

So did mine! Maybe it´s because of the way we´ve bookmarked the page, I don´t know. It was a great joke, though - thanks Grant!
Anyway, today I went for a trial of Chanel Bel Respiro (a sample from the kind Gerald in Munich).
I started the day in Diorella, and now I've changed to Cabochard.
I was completely fooled - blamed it on my kids, of course!

Wearing Kingdom to start off...may change later to Aimez Moi....
OMG, was I ever fooled!! I was panicked and in a cold sweat!!!!!!!!
ha ha. I'm wearing l'heure bleue on this very cold wet day -- seems like winter has come back.
I'm sampling Ava Luxe Green Tea. It's nice... one of the more pleasant green tea scents I've tried.

And dear Riannon, how could I have fallen asleep at the switch?!?

I'll blame it on a missed trans-Atlantic flight to the Goutal boutique because the (expletive) airlines refused to let me bring all my glorious decants on the plane in my carry-on.

Scent of the warm sunny day: inexpilcably for me it was Apres L'Ondee. It is wonderful, but I have to use a lot of it to keep it anywhere near me after the first 10 minutes on my skin. Unfortunately it stings me and leaves a slight rash. Guerlain lovers might baulk at this, but I'd rather spray it on my sheets than on my skin. I must find a way to wear it better.

Scent of the cold evening: Musc Ravageur for comfort.

Molinard's Ecoute-Moi
I can't be the only one standing in front of a lot of bottles, feeling like an idiot , unable to decide. It's gonna be Patou 1000 or Chanel Bois des Iles.
At least last night was easy, Poivre was too good to scrub off for bed so I just added more.

Czech & Speake No.88

Aw, heck. I missed the joke page.
Sorry, Grant. I would've been fooled cuz I forgot what day it is.

Brotha G: No scent for me either! A rare, rare occasion.
I wiped off some surfaces with rubbing alcohol, large amounts of rubbing alcohol, and everything smelled bitter for the rest of the day. My mouth tasted bitter, too.

I think the fumes must have caused it.
I will not do that again under any circumstances.

Beware! Rubbing alcohol and Clorox are evil.

Serge Lutens' A La Nuit. I love it.

Jasmine from India, Egypt, and Morocco; green shoots; honey; clove; benzoin; and musk. Simply divine.
For this evening B&BW grapefruit Pink Grapefruit spray and lotion under a few spritzes of Pamplelune...but maybe fragonard's Eau Fantasque would have been better.
Chopard Casmir for the evening again -- the whole bedroom still smells nicely after I applied it liberally last night. DH is grilling dinner on the patio, and I am enjoying my vanilla after the 10 hour day at work. Need to go invent something for a vegetable to go with his brisket!
