I don't know... i'm sure he got it at macys or somewhere nearby because he seems kinda..well..dumb. he was a gangter-ish type of guy..I was going to ask, but he probably wudda been like "***** get out mah way!" or thought I was crazy...

I don't know if he seems the guy to go buy cologne offline.. I'm sure it was a retail store..and i dont think anyone sells blue sugar around my area

i read in reviews about JPG smells like gum and cotton candy..but im not getting it..on my skin at least..maybe its the sillage that smells sweeter. i asked my mom she said its terirbly sweet..i dont detect it..

I smell something very nice..but i have 4 colognes on right now lol...

Le Male

Versace Eau Friache

Glaultier 2

L'eau d'issey

cant find out which one that im smelling!!! it smells sweet though...

It might have been Angel Men or Hanae Mori FM.

I get a similar impression of the description from Body Kouros.

Should be Gaultier² - this has often been described as having a grape bubblegum note, and it IS extremely sweet.

Sound like Gaultier2.

hmm I'll go back to the mall and try those ones out. Does anyone like that smell, anyway? Because at first I thought it was a girl wearing it...but nevertheless, I loved it.

I really don't think it's Gaultier2, based on the description. On me, the grape bubblegum note is only in the first blast & disappears fairly quickly once on the skin. Once dried down it's like a sweet musk, but it's not candy-like at all.

I don't typically like a sugary-sweet scent, but I like Body Kouros a lot -- it tempers the sweetness with a camphorous, metallic edge.

Joop Homme is very cotton candyish . . . although there are some other nice notes waiting to be discovered.

The first time I smelled Joop I was wondering who on earth would want to smell like cotton candy. Then I smelled it again a bit later and actually warmed to some of the other interesting notes there - so I bought a bottle.

It's probably best reserved for special occasions, though - otherwise it gets a bit much. My bottle ran out a while back and I haven't felt any pressing need to replace it, although I may, someday.

It's also one of the few fragrances that I've been complimented on (the others being Oscar, Havana and Envy).

I bet that is what it was. I totally forgot about Joop! Probably because my bottle is buried in a box thats in my closet and i havn't worn it in at least 5 or 6 years. Actually, i don't think i ever gave it a full (just put a spray on the wrist) wearing. Maybe i should dig it out and give it another try...?

I hated it at first, but it kind of grew on me, until I had to get a bottle.

It's definitely not for everyday usage, though! It needs the right mood . . . It also reminds me of a certain children's mix cooldrink at times, which can be a little, err, disconcerting.

If you really wanted to know, why didn't you just ask him? Simple, no?
Gaultier² or Blue Sugar ( pure cotton candy )
Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin possibly?
From your initial description, I too think it is Joop and it can be smelled from literally 50 feet away.

Clean Men smells like bubblegum, cotton candy and pop soda all thrown into one to me.
Where can we place bets because I know I'd be a winner! It has to be Blue Sugar and if you smell it long enough you get sick just like if you ate too much cotton candy

i still haven't identified what it was..

I know its not Body Kouros that's for sure. Not JPG
post #25 of 34
B*Men possibly?? I get a kinda "cotton candy/bubblegum" vibe from it.

b men smelt musky, no? i thought i tried it already. gosh..i'll never know unless i smell it again and just ask.

It was a DEFINITE sweet cotton candy/marshmellow smell...not subtle. It had no incense, like Body KOUROS does, it had no musk... just sweet.

If I smelled cotton candy, my first thoughts would be Hanae Mori or Comptoir Sud Pacific - Vanille L'abricot. CSP's vanille is pure sweet and smells very much like cotton candy.
I dont hink he wear this one, but if you like that smell try Guerrilla 2
By the way Gaultier doesn't smell like bubble gum, smell like rotten disgusting male makeup with outdated vanilla syrope.argh!

Also, as further suggestion: CK One Shock.

Even more surprising, while most or all of these notes seem hinted at (in my opinion and to my nose at least), these very notes are not being overpowering, excessively sweet, nauseating, immature nor too generic, plus, the cotton candy and bubblegum notes linger on along with a hint of tobacco and even some additional bitter-sweet gourmand notes (maybe
raw vanilla, dark chocolate, coffee).

OP's post was in 2007. Couldn't have been 1 Million or CK One Shock.
Lol just noticed when i came back into the thread that this was an old as thread lol. Wonder if op ever found out what it was?
