HOW to (not) use the rating system:

Now that this has become a topic, I really want to know the dos and donts, plus the logic behind it.

Someone mention the 'frequently asked questions' section of the board.
Where does that hide. I checked all obvious places, and couldn't find it! Maybe there is more I should know after one thousand plus posts.

It's the "Help" link on the very top BN menu bar between "Stuff" and "Search"
