I like l'air tu temps either...
it smells like a young girl in dress walking in spring

it's not too green, not too chypre...

from all those oldies vinage scents (Miss Dior, Mitsouko) I would choose the spirit of youth - L'air du temps

It's the spicy and fresh note of carnation which got me hooked. Another unique perfume that added to the popularity of Nina Ricci. It's constantly being sold far below value.

I like it a lot, just not on a man. I have too many memories of it being pretty much close to the essence of femininity.

I also like it. However, women on Russian forum reported that the formula has been changed and now it smells synthetic and cheap. I did not try this scent recently.

I have probably smelled L'Air du Temps, but didn't realize it. My favorite part about this fragrance is the line in "Silence of the Lambs" where Hannibal Lecter delicately sniffs Agent Clarice Starling through the bars of his jail cell and says, "Sometimes you use L'Air du Temps, but not today." *shudder* that movie was so creepy, yet it was still a great film.

L'Air du Temps is a very pleasant fragrance, but it seems too feminine for me to wear.
These classifications are open to individual interpretation, however, and if you feel
comfortable giving it a trial wearing, go ahead. I find that I generally agree with
industry classifications of masculine and feminine scents, but there are exceptions.
I have Piquet's Bandit, for example. Floral, but quite bold. I've worn it without thinking
it too feminine.

Use your best judgment on L'Air du Temps.
