Give me your best guesses. I dont think this will last long because it is pretty obvious.

Wow. No Responses...I guess i'll just have to tell you. I think it smells a lot like Gaultier2.

I'd have to disagree. G2 is quite nice, but I really like Hypnose. I really don't find any similarity between the two, though.

Body Kouros; as I have written before; for me Hypnose is very similar with that one;but i am sure many people don't share this comparisation;its just my nose;and besides;I like Body Kouros. So its not a problem at all.

Good day

To my nose Hypnose Homme smells a lot like a tamed B*Men - all the fierceness of B*Men's opening is taken off and replaced with softer and rounder notes - kinda like to make Hypnose a "better behaving" brother of Mugler's creation.

I also do not find any similarity.

I like Hypnose (not enough to purchase) and hate G2!

What do you mean with "concept"?
"commercial" ? Everything is "commercial" these days, even "niche" is the new marketing trend. And thats not wrong, perse

To me Hypnose smells nothing like B*Men , G2. or Body Kouros also....Weird.

when I smell these new launches, they give me one common impression . these scents lack originality...They are quite nice, correct, glittering, freshly-oriental, but... boring- for one dimensional man

yes, I agree from some point everything is commercial.. You have to die if you want to resist the consumerism

I've only smelled it in a magazine but something reminded me of Intuition. God knows if those inserts smell anything like the real thing

My first impression was that Hypnose Homme smelled Fahrenheit-ish or like a warmer Dunhill Fresh ( by Maurice Roucel as well ), which also smells Farenheit-ish.

IMHO.....I still smell a bit of Miracle Pour Homme.......With more of a bite......G2.....B-Men.....I don't get that at all.......I also can sense a bit of Fahrenheit or in my case a better Fahrenheit......Fahrenheit is one that I have always wanted to work for me......There is something about my chemistry that does not agree with fahrenheit.....Gary

I havent tried this latest Maurice Roucel fragrance, but I wouldnt be surprised if it was similar to a previously released fragrance. As the recent threads on French Lover and the newer L'Artisans showed, its quite common to find a genetic pattern in most new launches which (closely) resembles past classics. Some of the most revered classics were "inspired" by other fragrances: the Guerlain classic L'Heure Bleue is very similar to L'Aimant, Rive Gauche to Calandre, No. 19 has been copied by a lot of fragrances which have then gone onto establish their own reputations, and many many others. Even instances of "self plagiarism" (as in a perfumers own works closely resembling past efforts) are now rife.

Totally groundbreaking fragrance or "new smells" are few and far between.
