A fresh fragrance for my sister?

Thread Starter
Chances are that a thread about fresh fragrances is already posted, but I still wanted to ask the question in a direct manner.
The thing is that my sister's birthday is coming and I want to give her a fragrance, so could you girls please recommend a FRESH fragrance for her?
She is turning 21 =)

Massive Thanks to everyone

Fragrances which smell fresh to my nose (in the cool Scottish climate!) are:
Gucci - Envy Me 2
D&G - Feminine (although I have read that this can be cloying in humid climates)
Christian Dior - Diorella
Acqua Di Parma Colonia
Bulgari - Au Parfumee Au The Verte Extreme ( very crisp and fresh)
Fresh Scents By Terri - Zoe (fresh sheer musk)
Philosophy - Pure Grace.
There are so many different kinds of 'fresh' scents: floral, musk, citrus, green etc. Do you know which fragrances she prefers at the moment?

Marc Jacobs Blush. Fresh and the truest, cleanest jasmine I have found. Affordable if you shop on-line. It's fun and not overly fruity like so many coming out today. Perfect for 21!

D&G Light Blue
Philosophy Amazing Grace
Carolina Herrera 212
Clinique Happy

A bit frustrating since we don't know where you l(or she) live - her type and preferences. (Some people's "fresh" is other peoples "washed out"!!)

An always reliable suggestion is samples from a cosmetic counter she can visit with a gift card to same. Take her to a birthday lunch and shop with her. And do let us know!!

I find Pure Poison quite fresh

How about Fresh Pink Jasmine, Lovely, Marc Jacobs, good luck there are so many nice ones.

Mugler Cologne is fresh and safe to buy as a gift, since most people like it. I've recently recommended it to a female friend who is in the same age category (20-25) as your sister and she liked it and bought it.

Un jardin sur le Nil is fresh for summer; and Happy Heart too; the best of the Happy flankers imho.

I second Un Jardin sur le Nil by Hermes, extremely fresh, natural and lasting for summer

also Chance Eau Fraiche by Chanel, sexy and fresh

The ones from my wardrobe I find fresh - on my skin, to my nose - are:
Chanel Cristalle EdP and EdT (they are quite different!)
Roma by Laura Biagotti
Stella by Stella McCartney
Agent Provocateur Eau Emotionelle
Omnia by Bvlgari (even if it is an oriental!)
Eau Dynamisant by Clarins
Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker
Valentino V
Miss Dior Chérie
You find budget-prises as well as expensive ones here!

Do try these as well, you might find these even more fresh:
Laura by Laura Biagotti
Acqua di Roma by Laura Biagotti
Omnia Crystalline by Bvlgari

Good luck, and let us know what your choise will be!

I have to agree. It's a fresh floral, even though it has those tenacious white floral notes. Must be the orange blossom and the light amber base that does it.

I guess "fresh" chould mean a few things. Here are some of my recommendations, which are mostly from my own personal favourites of these kinds:

Fresh Citrus:
- Le Parfum de Therese (this is such a light chypre it can be easily considered citrusy)
Sugar (by Fresh)
- Fetish http://www.basenotes.net/ID26125774.html
- Kinmokusei http://www.basenotes.net/ID26126174.html

Fresh Floral:
- Spring Flower (with note of melon, apple, etc.)
- From my own line: Tamya http://www.basenotes.net/ID26125755.html, a light and fresh fruity-floral with yuzu and jasmine and musk; Coeli (light watery floral) or Les Nuages de Joie Jaune (mimosa soliflore)
- Pure Poison (you can also opt for La Chasse au Papillon, which for some reason does not work on my skin as well as Pure Poison - must be chemistry)
- After My Own Heart (Ineke) - this is a lilac soliflore and has a musky base. It's light and fresh and very pretty.

Fresh Green:
- No. 19 (Chanel)
- Balmy Days and Sundays (Ineke) - green and fresh floral with a clean musk base
- Philosykos (Diptyque) - a green fig scent, one of my favourites

Fresh-Soapy (read: clean)
- Tocade
You may also want to try Lemon Fresca (it's also citrusy, but really, really soapy and clean too!).

Fresh Musky (also clean...)
- Narciso Rodriguez EDT
- Lovely (Sarah Jessica Parker) - I really like the Liquid Satin and the Body Mist by the way.

Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Revitalize
Jo Malone French Lime Blossom

Rain by Marc Jacobs, it's an absolute wonderful fragrance. Fresh, clean and sexy, comes in a huge 300ml bottle aswell. I've received more compliments in one day wearing this than years of wearing any other fragrance.

Thank's everyone for the great recommendations. Unfortunatly they were so many, and there many that I liked, that I could not choose. Therefore I invited her to lunch, and then took her to the store, so she could choose the fragrance she wanted. She took the Pure posion. =)

Ditto on the great choice! I have been slowly coming around to the Poison line. Pure Poison has become one of my favorites.
