Unintended layering?

Does anyone here just spray a fragrance right over another when the other wears out? Sometimes I just don't have the time or necessity to shower so I just spray X over Y and hope Y does mix in. Is this going to lead to some awfulness or is it ok? Have you ever gotten anything awesome This mainly happens when I go from a SOTD to a SOTE, as I'm debating right now... if i can spray Musc Ravageur over Live Jazz.

I do that all the time, and the resulting smell is most often fine because the old fragrance is too faded away to change the new one significantly. Therefore I haven't discovered any really wonderful or terrible combinations in this way yet.

My dry skin eats scent, so often by the three or four hour mark, my first scent is completely gone, so, yeah, I spray another.
The only thing I have ever had "resurrect" itself on the second spraying is the musk in Nu and musk is always a welcome ingredient, as far as I am concerned, so, no harm, no foul.

Kiehls musk and Dolce and Gabbana(blue) for men is an odd but awesome combo

By accident I decanted 15 ml of Guerlain's Derby into a decant spray bottle that had previously contained L'Heure Bleue extrait. The result was so powerful that I now consider adding the tiniest drop of L'Heure Bleue extrait into my Derby EdT next time I decant. The spicy extrait simply enhanced and anchored the spices of Derby...
