In search of a fragrance that has an Iodine/Herbal accord

I've really fallen in love with Sables. The opening note of Iodine has me addicted. I also love the Herbal notes. Are these signature notes for Annick Goutal? I'm not a huge citrus fan.
Any suggestions on other fragrances with similiar qualities?

Eau Noire - Christian Dior, (only available at the boutiques - hard to get, but worth the effort) In my opinion the most beatiful perfume ever created. Many basenoters compare it to Sables, but I find it goes in a completely different direction.
Try it !

Not sure what you mean by an 'iodine' note but for a beautiful bitter herbal note try Ava Luxe Absinthe. It is one of the most underrated original perfumes I have encountered. It is a truly polarising love / hate scent. She does make a slightly less confrontational Sweet Absinthe which is more easily wearable.

It is definitely worth a try.

I would also recommend you search out other scents with that Artemisia / wormwood note.

I get some of this in Blenheim Bouquet.

Malle's Angeliques Sous La Pluie, for one.
And the new Miller Harris, Fleur de Sel, for another.
Both are very herbal, and have an iodine tinge.

Thanks everyone. Down the herbal road I go.

I dont get anything herbal or iodine like in M7.

Try Montale's Vetiver des sables for an iodine note.

You might try Goutal's Vétiver, even if that itsn't herbal proper.

Yep, when I think of "iodine", I also think of Goutal's Vetiver.

Have you tried Creed Erolfa? It has that briny oceanic feel of Goutal's vetiver, but it's cleaner and I find it to be pretty herbal as well. If you haven't tried Erolfa, you should-- it's a solid addition to any wardrobe.

I've got a sample of Montales Embruns d'Essaouira (difficult name)

this is the description:
Iodine from the high waves of Essaouira, combined with sandalwood from the Moroccan Atlas on a background of spices and eastern musk.

To me it doesn't smell very spicey , but very fresh and wearable actually

I went to Aedes and tried Erolfa and Montale's Vetiver des Sables, both nice, but not medicinal enough for me. Embruns d'Essaouira sounds like a good candidate, thanks Eric.
They didn't have Annick Goutal Vetiver, which sounds like it might be what I'm looking for.
If anyone has any other ideas, I'm open to them.
I just ordered AG Vetiver online. I hope it does the trick.

The Body Shop has this EDT called kistna. I detects some lemon, and herbal notes

Sel de Vetiver by the Different Company has a nice iodine accord. Not so herbal though. It's a vetiver that lasts and lasts.
