Fresh Violette - anyone sniff this yet?

Being the 'violet ho' that I am, of course I perked up my ears when I heard that Fresh was introducing a new scent only at Neiman Marcus stores, called Violette. I kinda fell in love with Sugar Lychee there for a while and a generous Basenoter gifted me some Fresh Sake - but Violette is haunting me.

Anyone, anyone?

Have you had a chance to try this yet? I wear it myself, but I have to wear it a certain way...

I only spray it on my wrists, and about 10 minutes later I layer Fresh Pomegranate Anise on top of it. Mmmm.

Kewal, why layer it? Is it too floral? Too green?

Here is a description from Fresh:

"VIOLETTE EAU DE PARFUM is an intricate scent that is stunningly rich and ultra-feminine. Sensual, sheer notes of violet, freesia, and rose give a modern twist to a classic floral fragrance. A bright citrus accord of bergamot, mandarin, and cypress mingles with warm undertones of patchouli, sandalwood, and amber. The end result is sophisticated, extravagant, and long-lasting."

Top: bergamot, mandarin, and cypress
Middle: violet, freesia, and rose
Base Notes: patchouli, sandalwood, and amber

It is wildly floral Kelley - and honestly I couldn't justify getting it at the price point (since it's exclusive to Neimans, blah, blah, blah). If I stumble upon some on Ebay or something maybe...but it seemed like too much of an extravagance. For extravagance, I would rather wear Black Violet by Tom Ford.

mmm, violet. Currently riding high on Penhaligon's ORMOLU. I never enjoyed violet so much. I may have a new passion. I'll have to check out Fresh's VIOLETTE.
