Just stumbled into the threads via the "New THreads" route. Unable to access any threads through the "Community" route--just throws me into the page advertising buying domains.

From a sample - Rose d'Amour by Parfums de Rosine - a bit sweet for my tastes, and I could swear there's violets in there. But she's only been with me for a half hour or so....we'll see.

Ain't it great to be back home again.....

Got a LOVELY suprise package from an extremely generous BNer and am spending my Tuesday vacation day in one of my "to try"s that is now decidedly FBW -- Ivoire de Balmain. Gorgeous!

And to my nose very, very "French" though I can't yet articulate exactly why.

Welcome, good-smelling sir!

For me today, it's a sample of Villoresi's Yerbamate. Lovely, but not quite as distinctive as I expected; I'll stick with Spezie from this house for now.

Today I've been sampling Montale Fruits Of the Musk

started off very nice this morning at 7:30am, rich musk, sweet fruit/berry notes. By noon it was smelling like this Green Tea and Berry lotion I have from Bath and Body works (and not in a good way). At this point (4:30pm) it's sorta leveled out, still good sillage, but smells very sweet, feminine and B&BW lotion like again.

My thoughts? Not worth the price of a Montale by any stretch

Interesting -- I have never seen this scent before. Is it new? Do you like it?
