Being a Lady in Black today, I am wearing Vetiver Oriental
at G and his lovely poem.

Limpimping today (inventing a new word). That sample I crushed onder my foot last week turned out to be a BPAL 'imp'
There was still a tiny piece of glass left in my foot and the GP (HUGE hands!) dug it out yesterday.

::language is so wonderful, don't you agree, LIB ?::

Oh, gosh, no wonder it's cold and autumn has come, we've lost a month (see title of the thread )

Still warm here, I'm wearing Frederic Malle's, Parfum de Therese. I'm finding that this one is perfect for warmer weather.

PS - happy belated birthday TDI, I hope you had a great day! -- I was so busy yesterday that I didn't even visit Basenotes.

I fully agree ! And to show you that I care, I am going to limpimp a little bit myself just for sympathy

Today I am wearing Cuir Mauresque's poor cousin: KM A Fleur de Peau! Have a lovely day all!

Was also craving orange blossom (I could do with a butterscotch pudding too, but it is not related to my SotD!) so I put on a few drops of the best-kept secret this side of the Atlantics -- Yves Rocher Pur Desir de Fleur d'Orange. Until yesterday's package from Europe arrived, I did not know it existed! Did you?

Oh, Riannon, ouch!

Hope it wasn't the BPAL "Blood Amber," because while that would be eerily appropriate to the condition of your poor foot, I think that's one you'd probably very much enjoy wearing on other pulse points...

It's CBIHP's In the Library for me today, from a sample. Starts off with an old-world comforting sweetness (labdanum?), but then adds a distinctly papery smell (accurately described by Vibert in a review as "the inside of a paper grocery bag" -- though old books also smell like this and I happen to love book smell) and a bit of non-citrusy furniture polish (!). I've heard that as it dries down, a subtle burnished leather comes up. Hope so! This is a nice one so far, but more of a "situational/set a scene" fragrance than a "mood" fragrance, I think. I like it, but can't tell whether I'd prefer wearing it or having the room spray version....

Continuing the vacation today with the whole family going to a HUGE water park! A far hue and cry from Monday's excursion into downtown Boston, where in addition to riding the famous swan boats, I visited the Hermes store (threatening infanticide if my kids touched anything ) to spray Ambre Narguile and Poivre Samarcande. The kids voted for A.N., and only pointed out that they liked the $500 enamel bracelets and $800 shirts a couple of times.

Hi ComDiva! Totally OT: Please describe the bracelets that they liked so much!

Scent Gloss by Costume National
...it got me through a boring 1/2 day of folding architect's drawings at work.
Sis', I can't wait to sniff In The Library myself - those CBIHP scents are little 'short stories' in a bottle. Enjoy the water park!

Wearing: Mare by Beth Terry Creative Universe. This is a marine I could love (the scent, not the soldier).

Nah, it must have been Loviatar. Your 'Blood Amber' is still safe.

How embarrassing to step on the patron Goddess of Dominatrixes

::no wonder my foot was smelling like...ehrm...let's leave it at that::
