The Next Level of fragrances, any recommendations?

Thread Starter
Hello all, I'm still quite new to the world of fragrance, and am looking for some recommendations. My two all time favourites are Gucci pour Homme and YSL M7.I'm a big fan of autumnal, slightly dark scents. I'm wondering what your recommendations would be based on the two above regarding niche fragrances? I love M7 but find it a bit too sweet sometimes. Basically looking for something similar to the above, but more complex, with more finesse. Someone recomended Greyland by Montale or Tea for Two, any more suggestions?

check out Giorgio Armani/Privé (Privé Bois d'Encens); Pierre Montale (Black Aoud) and Frederic Malle (French Lover / Bois d´Orage)

If you love Gucci PH and YSL M7 - i'd suggest trying CdG Kyoto, Heeley Cardinal, Profumum Olibanum, and will second the recommendation of Montale's Black Aoud

Lorenzo Villoresi - Vetiver - exactly what you've described as liking.
Comme des Garcons - Avignon - dark churchy incense

Good Luck!

L'Homme Sage by Divine would be right up your alley.

and maybe Tauer's L'Air du Desert Marocain.

Greyland I have never tried him but Tea for Two de L'Artisan is by far my preferred fragrance! :toppie:
I consider it the better autumn-winter perfume of the world.
If you like then the fragrance of smoking tea it doesn't exist anything other of better.... imho is obvious....

Everybody, sit down. I'm going to recommend something, even though I once said "I'm one of those people that don't like A*Men."

A*Men.

GpH is one of my favorites too. These are similar, but different and very good:

CdG Avignon - a deeper more incensy GpH.
Gris Clair - serge lutens - like the basenotes of GpH without the big spice opening.
Lorenzo Villoresi Vetiver - nice woody incense drydown but with vetiver 1st.
Eau d' Italie pour Homme - similar but with a little more frankincense and pine.
Bois d' Encens, Armani - more incense less spice.
Michael by Michael Kors - similar to M7 w/o the oud.
