Looking for the ultimate forest scent

Hi folks, I'm looking for the ultimate forest scent and I hope you can help me with some suggestions.

I have already tried "Silvestre", "Pino Silvestre", "Acqua di Selva", "Grafton" and "Wild Fern". At the moment, I'm trying to get samples of "Cedro", "Knize Forest" and "Castle Forbes 1445".

Up to now, my favorites are "Silvestre" by Victor and "Grafton" by Truefitt & Hill (two very different fragrances of course).

Do you have any further suggestions?

"ChĂȘne" and "Rocabar" are noted down, thank you. I'm looking forward to further suggestions.

I'll match Rocabar and raise with Sequoia by CdG.

Haven't tried Chene or Sequoia, but Rocabar's the best i know of.

Does somebody have sampled Deep Forest by Bogner ?

This was a blind buy which turned to be ,may I say, magnifiscent.Powdery and truly reminiscent of a forest, very aromatic and very strong/long lasting. Not widely known/available but not irrationaly expensive.I wonder if this one deserves its very own thread...

I'll throw out there the Original Lacoste. I have'nt sampled some of the ones suggested but to me this is very fresh and forest-like.

Parfum d'Habit, Route du Vetiver, Knize Forest, Geir, Rainforest, and Rebellius.

Creed Cypres Musc gets my vote.

Brut...

truly great. Everytime I smell it, kinda remind me of Paul Bunion..

If you want the woods... Smelling like a Lumberjack seems perfect...

I'm a big fan of the green, foresty, wilderness scents as well and am always on the lookout for them. There's two that have come across my nostrils that hit me as very good:

1) I was going to mention MPG's "Parfum d'Habit" as one poster did above, but they already did. So... I'll second it :P Good scent and fairly inexpensive.

2) I just recieved a small 2mL of CB's I Hate Perfume "Under the Arbor" which is incredible when it comes to green goodness. It's expensive, but worth it. Try that one for sure!

You listed Pino Silvestre.....I recently tried this and it's VERY pine forest-y, yet it seems to fade fast on me. Antaeus is very woodsy on me but the honey note is just plain ridiculous on my skin. The herbs don't stand a chance!

Gucci Rush smells like cedar lumber. You may wanna try that one. If you want "green" as in vegetation, try Truth by Calvin Klein. I smelled it on a card and was put off, thinking it smelled like salad fixins'. Yet a friend sent me a sample of some and I gotta say...it's definitely better on skin than on cardboard!!

The original Zirh in the silver package was rather woodsy to my recollection. You may still be able to find that one as a bargain so it may be worth a shot.

Good Luck!!!

Rainforest by Ayala Moriel

There was a similar thread earlier this year titled "Forest / pine fragrance" that may be helpful to you:

Also, I have never tried Aspen but I have read quite a few positive comments about it on Basenotes. It is inexpensive and readily available

Comme des Garçons - Calamus. Dewy green (and piney at times).

Not the _ultimate_ forest scent by any means, but Fahrenheit always brings an image of a wet, mossy forest on a fresh autumn morning to my mind...

Maybe Yang, by Jacques Fath....

wicozani and calex already suggested this one, but thank you nonetheless.

It's hard to get a sample of this one though.

Oh, I knew it had been suggested already, I was using a sarcastic assumption of obviousness by using the question mark, if that makes any sense lol.

You can get a sample of Sequoia from Luckyscent for $3.
