Terre d'Hermes Soap as Room Scent

A few months ago, I bought a bar of Terre d'Hermes soap with the intention of using it as base on the occasions I wear TdH. When I unwrapped the soap, the strong bitter orange mixed with woods was quite evident. The scent was so stong I decided to place the bar in an empty candle tray on my dresser and try it as a room scent. It works rather well. The smell is never overpowering and has an adequate amount of presence.

Neat - sounds like it smells wonderful.

That's awesome! I have a bar of Silver Mountain Water soap that is pretty potent. I have it in a dish sitting on a dresser in my bedroom. It works well. I also have a bar of Original Vetiver soap, but it doesn't smell as stong. I'll have to keep my eyes out for TdH soap. I'd love for my room to smell like that!

Another way to use scented soap is to place it in your clothes drawers, say where you keep your t-shirts, and that way you can use it to layer your clothes with your favorite fragrance. It's very effective and provides a solid layer of scent which you can then bolster with the matching fragrance sprayed on the body.

Excellent idea scentemental. Thanks for the tip. Now I'll have to invest in some quality rose scented soap for my chest of drawers.

For CologneJunkie, Mike, and other interested parties, Imagination Perfurmery carries the TdH soap for almost half of the retail price.
