I am so with you people about AVA LUXE. Serena is a genius - and the best part? Absolute QUALITY but inoffensive price. And you are an individual - without bankrupting yourself. I also have ordered some more samples and 5ml deluxe samples. They are such a great idea.

I think I have had about 50 Ava Luxe samples (some have been doubled up when Serena throws in generous freebies!) but each one - even if they are NOT MY BAG Baby, they are excellent. There have been maybe 3 frags that I cannot wear. I also am contemplating my next big splurge - getting hot here in OZ and I love Serena's Amber/Incense scents - so I am waiting till cooler weather kicks in - then my credit card is going into meltdown. PayPal is my best friend! :bounce:

Cannot wait for my Sin and Madeline samples. Gonna love em - I can just tell!

I guess I was looking for a bit more structure . Serves me right for being an academic at heart.

So I am linking to the Spring Summer thread - for new folks like me looking for a model of what the posts are supposed to look like.

Heck, I ran out of time to order samples.
It is my fault; with my computer breakdown, I failed to see Moondeva's post.

Oh!! *penny drops* sakecat22 - you are a lady after my own heart! Most people like to write freestyle when sharing their reviews on scents but for those like me and you, here is an adaptable structure / format to follow when reviewing your chosen scents during this week.

What did you try? (name of sample / perfume)
Scent Family? (incese, chypre, gourmand, floral, etc)
Notes? (available on www.ava-luxe.com)
Formulation? (EDP, parfum or body lotion)
Did you like it?
Is it a good autumn / winter scent?
Did it illicit compliments / comments?
Which notes dominated in the blend?
Did it smell the way you imagined it would?
Would you wear it again?
Score / Rating? (?? / 5)

Does that work for you?

Woohoo! Talk about leaving it to the last minute, but my order arrived and I just picked it up this morning. I'll be trying Sin today, once I've had a bath.
I had a sniff of Madeline as well. It smells like Christmas cake!
