No, I do the same thing. Who can read an entire New Yorker in one week!?

I read all the comics in the first pass. And I love it when R. Crumb gets a few pages. I read Seymour Hersch and Haruki Murakami, Steve Martin and Woody Allen as soon as I see them also. For some reason I don't take Steven King seriously even though they do. I always skip dance.

For subscribers, every issue of Harper's since 1850 is now scanned in and on the website. We can now read Dickens in serial form as the English did.

There's nothing I buy religiously.
I get First Drop (the magazine of the European Coaster Club) sent to me because I'm a member - this is rollercoasters, not the little mats you put drinks on, by the way.
I also get The Cat because I'm a life member of Cats Protection (a UK cat rescue charity).

I always bought fitness mags like Zest (UK), Fitness, Shape and Self (US - when I can find them - quite a few shops in London stock them) and the occassional glossy like Elle or Glamour, but I'm finding the fitness mags cater more to the pink dumbell set than to women like me who are more hardcore.
New You is a new UK mag I like - it covers cosmetic surgery and related procedures. As I'm 40 this now this is something that I admit to being interested in.
Beyond that, I don't buy much. I'll buy mags for train journeys or if I'm bored but otherwise prefer books.

When I first started becoming interested in scents I subscribed to GQ just because it was so cheap (at the time $10 for a year) and I looked forward to smelling all of those silly paper sample strips.

Since then I've really come to enjoy the magazine and look forward to renewing my subscription.

I only read one regularly, and that's Architectural Digest.

Others that I read sporadically:
5280 (because Denver is the Mile High City...our official elevation is 5,280 feet above sea level!)
dwell
Wired
Ms.
Bust
InStyle
Elle
Man Why You Even Got To Do A Thing ('zine published by Chris Onstad/R.B. Kazenzakis)
Trashy tabloid rags that I pick up at the grocery store - TOTAL guilty pleasure!

Most of my daily reading is online, but I do love the occasional magazine.

GQ

Cardplayer

On rare occasions a photography mag.

All: Many mag subs are available for pennies an issue on Ebay. I've paid $6 for the last three years of GQ. Check it out. Save $$$.

I think this is a dude post, but...... I love the New Yorker, mostly for the movie reviews and and the crossword puzzle, which a nurse I used to know got me addicted to, and I do. In Pen. Thank you.
