I'm having an off-day with Ma Griffe.

It is NOT a lovely spring day here ... it is cold & wet & dark! Brrrrrr!!
Quick, turn the heater up, put on a cuddly warm sweater, make a cup of afternoon tea ... & spritz on some

Ahhhh... now sit back & relax as it pelts down with rain outside!!

I am still wearing the Kenzo Flower that I wore to bed ( 4 short hours ago) but I had to get up early because it it my youngest daughters Birthday! I always wake my children up on their Birthdays with a Birthday Cake ( made my me very late last night) lit with candles and singing Happy Birthday. They still love it even though they are teenagers.

Domenico Caraceni

Stop and Smell the Roses Week (Homme Edition) commences with this fine fragrance. All this week, I'll be wearing rose scents that were recommended and/or sent to me from a couple of generous Basenoters. Will post comments later.

Side note: Stop and Smell the Roses week (Femme Edition) will commence after purplebird7 joins us again. She provided several recommendations from Les Parfums des Rosine and Montale and I want to save that week for her return.

Of COURSE they do! (When he was 18, I told my son that I guessed he was old enough for us to forgo the Easter baskets this year. His face crumpled. No EASTER baskets???" he wailed.) This is so cool! Whadda Mom!

To keep Sloan_8013 happy I am trying a sample of Tiempe Passate. Very evocative of the dunes of Montauk. From their website: Cedarwood, amber, bergamot, montauk rose (named for its "saltiness") and clementine (for sparkle.) I don't have much luck with Antonia's Flowers in terms of longevity - we'll see how she survives what promises to be a hot day!!

The risks of just diving into the sample bag:

Pulled out Heeley Cedre Blanc - which has a very strong cumin note. Not having enough time to scrub - then pulled out Montale Sweet Oriental Dream to "lighten it up".

I now smell like sex with toys, vanilla massage oil and latex. Should be an interesting workday.

Hello, all my lovlies. I'd most like to join Sudsy, listening to the pelting rain. I can't seem to get enough stormy weather. Unseasonably warm in the northern U.S. today.

Felt like Demeter Wet Garden for a second day. That's really weird. I almost never reach for this scent.

Indian summer again up here, high today of 24C and sunny. Wearing Tabac Blond parfum today. Love this old classic.
I'm wearing Hiris again, and now I'm quite bored of it. Think I will change to L'Heure Bleue after a shower

Hotel Chocolat Eau de Chocolat.
This is actually really good - it's a rich vanillic sandalwood with spices. It's a pity the longevity sucks, or I'd wear it more often.

I'll make a fire in the lounge room fireplace and we can pull the couch up to toast our tootsies.
We can sip tea in my chintz tea cups & gossip about men!

What time does your plane land QJ??

wearing Eau de Camille, such a girly fresh innocent fragrance, and I am finding it very refreshing, but must confess that Tabac Blond and En Avion are on my mind.

Started the day with Tabu body souffle and the edc...I don't like it on is own, it's too much clove or something.
Oversprayed with Ciara after a while, so now I think I smell ok....?

At least my children didn't make any nasty remarks at the dinner table; so I take it that at least I don't reek!

My heart is heavy and my days busy, since I am facing something new to me: the liquidation of the company I am working for. The danger of unemployment is looming ahead...
I needed something comforting, so I am wearing Feminité du Bois.

I'm on my way. Will pack along some family heirloom tea cups so you can educate me about them. Am willing to talk about men--but what's said in the lounge stays in the lounge--right?

I am wearing Coco Mademoiselle today. I had one lady tell me that I smell sooooo good. I do smell good if I must say so myself. I keep smelling myself. I added a little Aveda Patchouli and some Baby Magic Lotion to the mix, but I didn't tell her that lol! I just told her the name of the perfume just as she had asked. I can't tell everybody my secrets.

off to bed now wearing L'Heure Bleue
