What would John Huston wear?

John Marcellus Huston (August 5, 1906 August 28, 1987) was an Academy Award-winningAmerican film director and actor. He was known for directing several classic films, The Maltese Falcon (1941), The Asphalt Jungle (1950), The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948), Key Largo (1948), and The African Queen (1951).

wasn't X playing in a band and acting under the name X?

there was a guitar player in a punk band who called himself X and then performed, my guess he may have done some film work with Joe Strummer, The singer from the Pogues whose name escapes me me now and possiblbly Fleaa and Anthony Kiedis?

Haha, I meant X as a variable. Basenotes hasn't had a "what would this person of the week wear" thread that has kept updating every week, just a bunch of random topics about what who would wear. But there have been many SOTD threads because it's of the Day. Dig?

Good Question!
I haven't the slightest idea, but I saw him at the gift shop at LACMA ( art museum) around '86. He was in a wheelchair and wore a mask on his face connected to a respirator/oxygen tank in back.
Hell, he still looked more alive than 99&#37; of the people there . . .

I wonder if anyone knows what he actually did wear when younger?

Sam Peckinpah would have worn Knize Ten, no doubt about it -- leather and gasoline.

But Huston? I'm still sticking with something along the lines of Chanel pour Monsieur, or possibly Antaeus -- roguish but classy.

Actually either Knize Ten or Anteus would be good choices for Huston; also Creed Royal English Leather or Penhaligon's Blenheim Blend.
