Two of my favorite fragrances right now are Amouage Silver and Instinct. They both have a very sensual smell to them which I love so I suspected that their basenotes would be similar and they are. As written in the title, they both use vetyver, patchouli, and I believe amber in both of their basenotes. I would very much like to explore different fragrances with similar basenotes, so im curious as to what you all can recommend.

This fragrance gave me headaches and nausea. It smells like chemical liquorice. It reminds me also the candies in the drugstores. It's old-fashionned and not really wearable.

This Serge Lutens beauty is like a fresh gingerbread cookie or cake. Wore this one a few times, and it has a slight old school vibe (probably because of the ginger and cinnamon), which seems to be...

If you like Bath and Body Works' Midnight Pomegranate, (which is very popular), you will most likely like Viva La Juicy. I love both. There is a very caramel, praline deepness to both of them....

Well, not much to say about this, it's floral, it's fruity, it even has some "beach" feeling, but the game is too short and boring...how can they just think that someone would pay that price for...

My SOTD, MV3 by M.A.C. cosmetics has those qualities. Patchouli isn't listed in the scent pyramid, but I get a distinct patchouli vibe from it. Also, don't be put off that it's marketed to women. Men could TOTALLY wear this. It has a very masculine edge to it.
Here's the description, from the M.A.C. website: http://www.maccosmetics.com/template...CT_ID=PROD8566
