My nose and body chemistry is changing...

Well, I feel that my nose is changing slightly, as is my body chemistry. What was olfactory heaven before may be stinky now, and vice versa.

So, for the past few days, I've been testing out the different fragrances in my collection to see if I can detect a change or not. Here's some views:
  • L'Artisan Ananas Fizz: More musk, less pineapple. Still wonderful!
  • JPG Le Male: Same good ol' barbershop accord.
  • Narciso Rodriguez for Him: A bit softer, and even more wonderful than before!
  • Mugler Cologne: More soapiness, more "sparkle". Still fun!
  • Bond No. 9 Gramercy Park: Now sickeningly sweet and not as green as before... might be on the swap board soon.
  • Parfumerie Generale Cuir Venenum (my SOTD): Softer top/mid notes, sweetness shines through better... a great scent gets even better.

I plan on doing a few more tests over the next few days... namely Fleur du Male, CdG 2 MAN, A*Men, Gaultier², and M7. And I may have to adjust my collection accordingly... if so, I'll be ready for a new round of swapping.

Keep your eyes on this thread for day-by-day updates!

Looking forward to your updates! I have noticed the same happen with Narciso Rodriguez For Him, what was once a good scent has become amazing over time!

The same thing has been happening to me over the last few months. I quit smoking, and my sense of smell is slowly changing. Fortunately for me, it means that my fragrances smell better, and I get to use less since I'm more sensitive to them.

Some frags smell very different to me, but not necessarily better or worse. I can pick up patchouli more often these days.

It is a nice little side benefit of quitting.
