Giorgio for Men (1984) by Giorgio Beverly Hills was my signature scent for more than twenty years. Although it was discontinued sometime in the mid-1990s that did not affect me until recently because I had purchased fifteen bottles from the manufacturer at the time.
Now I am on a Don Quixote type quest to find a suitable replacement. I have found many wonderful fragrances and have expanded my knowledge and appreciation of the perfumers' art.
Somewhere in my research, I learned that Giorgio for Men was classified in the Mossy Woods (Chypre) Classical family. Personally, I consider it to be a rich fragrance (but my nose isnt very sophisticated). I centered my search on chypres and have gradually explored other families ----- but I still have not found my new holy grail.
Rather than continuing to tilt at windmills, I am hoping that some of you may remember Giorgio for Men and perhaps could help me focus my search.
Thanks for letting me vent!
