Looking for a fragrance

I'm looking for a few fragrances that both my girlfriend and I like.
It has to be long lasting, classy and for daytime use

She likes Armani Code (not long-lasting for me), Kouros (OK), Black Jeans (not long-lasting)
For herself she wears Prada, Poison, Very Irresistable (I love them all)

I love the Dreamer (she hates it), Amen (too sweet), Rochas (same), Terre (I don't know she likes it), Nicole Farhi (nice), Rive Gauche (nice), le Male (nice).

It has to be modern and, if possible, unique

Any ideas ?

I don't think you can beat Escada pour Homme for the price. Warm, rich, masculine, appropriate for both daytime and evening wear.
Carven Homme also comes to mind, as does Gucci Envy. I'd go with Lauder for Men or Eau Sauvage if you like citric frags, or (for even better longevity) Signoricci by Nina Ricci.

I wouldn't go for anything heavy (e.g., Lagerfeld Classic, Polo), weak/blandly aquatic (e.g., any number of current frags, from Tommy on down) or too cutting edge (e.g., Cuiron, B*men etc.). Stick to good quality frags that are readily available and don't require your taking out a second mortgage.

If cost is not an issue, you might explore the world of Creeds, but, still, I personally would stick to good frags under $30 until you find one you like. No need in wasting money.

Welcome to Basenotes! Why don't you & your gal go fragrance shopping together? Spray fragrances on cards (or even better, patches of skin) & then you two could decide from there?

And looking at the fragrances you liked, I'd also suggest: Guerlain L'instant, Very Irresistible for men and YSL M7.

I second tvlampboys Escada Pour Homme suggestion.
Also, check out the Narciso Rodriguez scents (for him and for her), and Costume National's Scent Intense.
