I am starting my own week on Gorgeous Guerlain

Today the beautiful and sensual Guet Apens.

I suppose this is a great scent for 'Gallivanting' as well

Have a wonderful weekend!

::Tao, my dear, we will have to put you on a fragrance diet before your nose has a meltdown::

I am wearing Elizabeth Arden's Blue Grass for the first time and really liking it a lot. Lovely balance of aromatic/herbal with plenty behind it. Great with jeans and t-shirt for a Saturday. Hope you're all having a good day.

A scent sister with lievje wearing Iris Poudre.

Tao, do not even dream of quitting sampling. I got a package coming your way next week!
I sniffed Jicky for the first time today, on a tester strip. I got lemon and civet. There's something very disconcerting about it. Not something I'd want to wear.
I also sniffed Vol de Nuit again after my unfortunate burnt plastic episode last time. This time it didn't smell like that, but I still didn't like it. Oh well!

Testing Midnight Poison. I'm still not keen but I thought I'd see how it went on the skin.

Arpège pour Homme by Lanvin

Oh my God, Indy - you're my scentular opposite.
I love both Jicky and Vol de Nuit - one is my standard scent for summer and the other for winter. I'd be hard-pushed to choose between them as my 'desert island' frag (well, I'd probably cop out and go for Iris Poudre, but that's by the by).
And I just looked at your wardrobe and saw you love Angel but didn't rate its longevity - so it's confirmed! (I still smelled of it even after scrubbing - on me it's nasty.)

I wish people could get the parfum versions of Guerlains. So:::much::::better than EDT.
Me? SOTD Montale Rose Petals.
Nothing subtle about this one, leather and roses, very intense and glowing.

Oh my dear sister of the Basenotes Banditas, I implore you to persist in testing Jicky ON YOUR SKIN and in a different version.
As I just commented on the Shalimar Jicky thread, my first experience with Shalimar edt left me ill, whereas the parfum has me enthralled. I can only suspect it may be a similar case.
We have some similar tastes, Bandit, Tabac Blond and others.....

I'm testing the recently re-released Caron Montaigne today.

happy weekend everyone!
Deeply torn between being scent *triplets* with Lievje and Twolf in Iris Poudre or sticking with my planned SoTD, Hermes Vetivier Tonka (thanks, Dimples, you wonderful enabler you!).

Decisions, decisions....

Caron Pour une Femme, as I sit here drinking my coffee and eating concord grapes.
I just read the name Jicky so many times, I now wish I'd applied that!

Oh, well, no regrets in Tinkering with Mira Bai. Her pralines are a pre-New Orleans treat. And her friendly nature seems compatible with our plans for a family evening watching the "Incredibles" movie.

Also wearing ... Buffy the Vampire Slayer blood drive t-shirt.

My Ava-Luxe order arrived today. So the week isn't over yet for me. I am wearing: Madeline on right wrist (wasn't crazy about the top and heart but it has a lovely dry down), LTBL on left wrist (this is almost exactly like Milk, on opening I don't think I could tell them apart, but Milk remains creamier throughout), White on left ankle (weird opening and middle but the dry down really does smell like cold winter air), Dark Chypre on left crook of arm (OMG, now this is classy and what I want out of a Chypre), and Cafe Noir on right crook of arm (another OMG but not in a good way - it's got that same celery note that I find in some Serge Lutens .)

Still contemplating what to do today
on this dreary grey day.

But, for now testing Vanille-Tonka
by Parfums de Nicolaï
and
I'm finding it a little too 'musculine'
when I stiff my wrists directly
but in the air it lifts of in a most delicous
and attractive way.

I think I love!!!

Started with Ormonde Jayne Osmanthus. Pretty, but too light for todays mood. I may appreciate that one better in the Spring/Summer.

Showered and switched over to Montale Black Aoud.

Ahhh, much better.

The weather is still warm over here...
SOTD: Fresh Sake
