Any opinions on this one?

I like it. I can't remember anything TOO specific about it, but I remember it being spicy, refreshing, relatively natural, and versatile.

I have a brand new bottle, in the box, just waiting for a new home.

It's an excellent scent which smells very much like Brut to me.
But it lasts the full working day, which is about twice as long as the Brut EDT lasts on me.

Similar to Brut?
Does that mean it's also similar to Rive Gauche PH?

Hi Francois,
I've never seen a similarity between Brut EDT and Rive Gauche.

Anyhow, I've just sprayed all three on my hands.

Brut and Touch are very similar, and are both ambery fougeres, with Touch being the better one.

Rive Gauche is an aromatic fougere to my nose, and lacks the zing that all scents classified as ambery fougeres put up my nose.

Very ambery and powdery and a touch soapy all at once.

There was a recent thread on this little sleeper and its remarkable similarity to Neutrogena's Rainbath.

Gross! Smell very cheep and very dated.

Each to his/her own. I find it very warm and sexy, and get loads of compliments on it.

Love it for what it is: a very affordable (I think I paid $7 for my bottle), simple, clean & masculine scent. Love it's similarities to Neutrogena Rain Bath showergel, Brut and Amber and Lavender by Jo Malone. I do not find this similar to Rive Gauche PH.

I usually wear it after a hot shower, when I want to smell uncomplicated.

With all due respect to my esteemed basenoters but this stuff is shit.

Some give this guy a hand! I so agree with you - Crap with a Captial "C"

Don't get me wrong I believe 273 Rodeo Drive is great scent but NOT Touch. Touch Sport is nice and so is Touch with love.....

Are the shit notes top, middle or base?
They are the 'foundation'.

Do you perhaps not like fresh ambery fougeres (e.g. Diesel++, Sculpture, Laguna, Brut etc) in general, or is it this one in particular that you dislike?

Graffham,
What I think I hear you saying is that you've perceived that some of the main olfactory components of Touch are excretorially-based. Would that be correct?

I know that the many times that women have assaulted me while I'm wearing this have been most gratifying! Hey, wait a minute!!!! I think you're being negative here!!!!

All this talk has inspired me to wear my Hayman fragrance today, Hollywood!
[Ali G voice] Much Respect!!!!

I purchased a bottle of this for $7 after several basenoters compared it to Neutrogena’s Rainbath.

Rainbath has a much better scent than Touch. The two share some common notes--particularly in Touch's drydown--but Touch is also powdery and kind of "cheap purfumey."

I was in Perfumania today and they had boxes of Touch by Fred Hayman. I have smelled this before and there's no doubt it that it smells like Rainbath. The lady at the store sprayed it on a strip and WOW it was rancid! Just horrible! It smelled like Raid or something. I tried it on my skin just to be sure. HUGE mistake.

So obviously, it was a bad bottle. I just ordered two boxes from Amazon.com last week. They'll arrive on Thursday. My FEAR is that this stuff goes bad early. For those of you that own it, how have your bottles been? Should I be worried?

To reply to my above post, I was back in Perfumania today and saw my mistake. The bottle I saw and tested on my last visit was Touch SPORT by Fred Hayman. The box and bottle are virtually identical, so I mistook the Sport version for the Regular version.

The Sport version is AWFUL. HORRID. Might be the worst cologne I have ever smelled (although Ralph Lauren Romance is definitely a contender). Like I said in my previous post, it is quite rancid. Touch with Love for Men is horrible too. It smelled like Vic's Vapor Rub!

SO, I'm pleased to learn that my bottles of the wonderful Touch original are in no danger of going bad any time soon. I just smelled the wrong stuff!

Still, from the sounds of it, Touch Sport might be handy for rubbing into sore muscles.

I recently gave a bottle of Hayman's Touch to my 14 year old nephew and one to my 80+ year old father. Both thought it smelled really good.
I guess that liking this scent must be a genetic thing.
