Thank you for asking the question and providing the synopsis! That list contains numerous frags that I've tried and given away. Looking over the list makes me more aware of why I wear and prefer certain frags.

I'm more of a "green", "woodsy", "citrus", "lavender" and "vetiver" girl, and I receive many compliments on those types of scents - I think because they contrast well with my appearance, smelling cool, clean, and sporty. The florals, ambers, orientals, etc, are just too warm and predictable for me most of the time, based on my size and coloring (petite, dark hair and eyes) and don't add much to my presence. There are a few exceptions, of course (24 Faubourg, e.g.).

According to l'internet, men supposedly prefer "baking smells" like cinnamon and vanilla.

I Love when my Wife wears Flower Bomb by Viktor & Rolf, Armani Code for Women and Romance for Women. I also Love Chanel No.5, Creeds Spring Flowers, Champs Elysees by Guerlain, Petite Cherie by Annick Goutal, 5th Avenue by Arden and Angel by TM.
I also am very fond of Sensi and Mania by Giorgio Armani....Sensi White notes and Dior's Forever and Ever will always have a place in my Heart.
Out of all these scents.....Flower Bomb is the Bomb that's for sure.....

My husband would prefer someone who can cook well and doesn't smell like a box of donuts. I cannot imagine what would be sexy about smelling like an artificial cinnamon bun, just make some real ones and stick on some ylang ylang.

Champs Elysees - I have that on my list and with all these sales going on, I keep forgetting about it.

I like vanilla, but find tuberose, gardenia, rose, musks, and amber more sensual and arousing.

Thanx Bernat - fascinating reading. Especially the part about preference switching when The Pill is involved. I've always thought hormones play a HUGE part in what we think our noses are telling us.....

Our female chemistry does change like the moon and the tides, whether we take the pill or not, and things smell differently to us and on us, depending. Some people are more sensitive to it than others, but I always noticed it.

I thought the thread they answered to about their attraction to fragrance on women was much more interesting than listing favorites, which vary according to individual taste, experience, lifestyle, etc. I don't even think of it when applying a perfume, unless my DH hates it. I don't want to be a scent abuser.

Wow. They list some real stinkers--I only have ten on that list and that's all I want. I say pooh on the list. Even our friendly basenotes men aren't familiar enough with women's fragrances to judge. Surely to God that list highlights what they are most familiar with-- fragrances with penetrating sillage. That list is just ridiculous. If I had to rotate through that list I'd kill myself.
