I was delighted to find a well-stuffed package from Michigan in my post box this morning.
It's a wonderful feeling to open such a parcel knowing there are samples inside
to be discovered! Thanks Lauren. I sent her some Venezia Body Lotion and this is her reciprocating - although there was no need, really!

I've decided to start with INITIAL. It is right up my street - a warm,spicy ambery delight.
I don't know the notes of this, so I'll attempt to describe them before I look them up.
My nose may be way off! The opening is soft and powdery with orange notes (mandarin?)
and definitely cinnamon with perhaps some florals in there too, very nice! I detect pepper now, quite strongly, and this gives it a bit of bite. Gradually some sweet honey and patchouli take it down to it's oriental roots. Definitely a special, winter scent.
I like to live with scent for a while, so that's all for now folks. I'll try the others at my leisure and let you know later.
