I haven't tried it. I want to, it's locating it that's the problem!

Yet another vote for BDP- so brash and powerhouse at first, so subtle as it starts to gradually dry down.

Welcome to Basenotes...

I would like to include:

Gucci Pour Homme Original (1976)
Vintage Caron Le Troisieme Homme
Vintage Dior Eau Sauvage
Vintage Guerlain Habit Rouge EdC
Vintage Guerlain Vetiver EdC
& Original Vintage Paco Rabanne Pour Homme

Sophistication is quite often perceived by not only how you smell - but your attire, how you carry yourself in conversation & subtleties that exemplify your quiet confidence. Leonardo da Vinci said that, "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication."

Cheers.

Bois du Portugal, One of my personal favorites.
And, I agree with ericrico: Gucci Pour Homme Original, and the original Paco Rabanne Pour Homme. Excellent classics.

Bois du Portugal - Creed

Kudos for mentioning Richard James, Savile Row (2003). It is extremely classy. I just sprayed some on my arm and i must say it smells like a beautiful masculaine floral. It has a lot of ingredients listed so when analyzing the fragrance on paper, lets just say it seems like it would smell messy w notes stepping over notes, but nothing could be further from the truth, the scent is blended wonderfully. I can definately get some citrus, tobacco, leather along with many other. Its flawless as far as sophistication goes, IMHO.

To me and I'm surprised no one else mentioned it. By reading the title to this thread...Ivasion Barbare came straight to mind. Very well done and sophisticated scent.
