Heritage and Dior Homme - Eau de Parfum question

Just a quick question... I'm about to buy both at retail price. Is it worth the money getting the EdP concentration? I've got Heritage EdT, and Dior Homme EdT can be had at a good price. Should I invest in the EdP versions, or would the EdT suffice? I'm curious as I have longetive issues with Heritage; Dior Homme - I want an iris-based fragrance in my wardrobe, but would like the better option.

I don't mean to sound dumb, but is there a Dior Homme EDP?

d'oh!

That's right... I really have to get my hands on a bottle of that. Dior Homme is very nice and it sounds like the EDP is even more wonderful.

Urrgh! Just when I thought I didn't need any more frags!

Your question is a little confusing...but my answer is: get Dior Homme the original.

If you have Heritage EdT, then the EdP ain't gonna wow you, it's just a more complex version of the EdT. I'm not saying it's worse or better - to me, it's just as good in different ways.

Whereas Dior Homme is absolutely different - and it's full on iris. The Intense (from what I remember reading) is not more iris prominent. If iris is what you want, then the original DH will do the job.

Having said that, I don't wear Dior Homme because I think there are better iris fragrances for men out (Le Labo's, Serge Lutens, even Prada's new one), but many here on BN love DH.

My (as a Guerlain geek/nerd) opinion on Héritage EdP: yes it's worth it. It IS more intense/vibrant than the EdT. For me, for some occasions, even TOO intense. But very beautiful, I often imagine that Jean-Paul Guerlain started with this composition, then extended it into the cooler/calmer EdT...

From my experience the EdP of Heritage lasts at least 10 hours on me... So if you are having longevity issues with Heritage, I would say that you should definitely try the EdP.

As for Dior Homme Intense, I have yet to test that.
