You wouldn't believe it, but I got one of the top 20 photos in a Kodak contest!
To promote Kodak's new line of inkjet printers, Kodak ran a "Pricey Ink Stinks" contest, so I turned an old ink-guzzling printer into a smelling-strip spritzer, replacing the pricey, stinky ink with nice-smelling stuff. Although the post got buried on Basenotes rather quickly, people on POL and MySpace looked at it and loved it, along with a lot of visitors to the Kodak website! As a result, I got into the top 20 photos (#14 for all of the photos, #12 if you disqualify the two non-eligible entries, and #23 when you factor in blogs and videos) in terms of votes, qualifying me for Round 2.
Now it's up to Kodak's judges in Rochester, NY to decide if I win the prize (a Kodak EasyShare inkjet printer)... I should know around December 7th. Let's all hope that I win the prize...
