LIB, must be something in the air. I felt in need of a comfort scent as well, so I went with Hypnotic Poison. Just as well as my journey to work was a nightmare - transport conspired against me.
Ah, you two in that lovely Chergui! I might change into that when I come home later today.

Geo F. Trumper's Spanish Leather for now.

Hi dears,

Just went to the doctor again with youngest son, and he has pneumonia now and getting worse. New antibiotics should help. Thanks again for all your wishes, they help us through this time. Love you all.

Ack!! You just had to rub it in, eh???

I am looking at that glorious bottle but I still can't smell it. My nose is not yet cooperative and in full function

Oh well, I am glad you are enjoying it. Don't bite too hard

My best wishes to lievje's son, strength and patience to his mom. Do believe in the power of collective positive thinking....

My left foot hurts, the nose is semi plugged up and there is s heavy feeling in the front of the head. Do not want to go to work, I'd rather stay home and wrap Christmas gifts or go shopping/checking at TJMaxx. Please send all your cheese for my whine here....

Wearing Ormonde Woman.

Prada Infustion d'Iris again.
Hi Twolf, nice to see you back, though you sound poorly.
Hope you feel better soon.
And hope Lievje's son starts to mend soon. Lots of positive thoughts coming your way.

We're heading out of our colds - just at the coughing stage now - so the Chick and I will be wrapping up warm today and strolling into town to post some parcels. Taking it easy but getting some air.

I'm in Coup de Fouet today and it's just right for how I feel.

Celebrating the return of our Wolfie in the sample she sent me of:

Top: Marine Bergamot, Cassis, Melon
Middle: Neroli, Lily of the Valley, Orange Blossom, Jasmine, Muget
Last: Patchouli, Mahogany woods, Oakmoss, Seaweed, Ambergris, Musk

Very young and fresh - the melon is light and yummy and the marine notes not overbearing. Gonna be close to 80F (26+ C) here today and this shower of flowers is the perfect way to celebrate!!

Adding my positive energy to that winging to Lievje's house....

Sending big (((hugs))) to all who need one!
I can feel a cold sneaking up on me from behind (not good for my 3 x 3 blind sniffing...), but I have an appointment with my hairdresser today, that I can' t cancel.
Oh, I really hate going to the hairdresser!! I know most women like to relax while having their hair done, but not me...I' d rather visit the dentist, at least then you don' t have to chit chat politely all the time.
Oh well, shouldn' t complain...

My SotD is the mysterious Sample B.
Musse, dahlin', same here. I tired to pursuade Mr.Twolf to trim my hair once (he does his own, but he uses the electric device!) and he said "There is not going to be enough beer for me to do it!" So every day is a bad hair day here!

(((LIB, Lievje+son,Twolfie, all others in need)))

I'm keeping wam in L'Artisan Poivre Piquant today.

Not quite over my own cold yet, but feel like I've turned the corner into recovery. Monster 1,400+ page web site overhaul that has been overwhelming my life since last August has launched! I feel depleted, but see a bit of light at the end of this week in terms of getting a bit of time to re-charge... Just in time for New Year's.

And tonight we are making beer-battered fried ice cream! Do I need to make extra for my BN family members?
Best wishes to you all. I took a day off and went hiking with my friend. I wore Pink Sugar and then tested Chene in the late afternoon. Chene is nice, but the drydown vaguely reminds me of Cedre OR the final note of Chypre Rouge.

YesYesYes Phleeeeze!!! I have never eaten beer-battered fried ice cream

I think it is time for all of us to retreat to a nice, warm and comfortable place to recover from worries, colds and flu.
How many spare rooms do you have, SistaC??

At times like these, I think, "These are the good-old days." Imagine having a sick child in previous generations and resorting only to home rememdies. I wish a speedy recovery for him.
Tao Lady's Guet Apens / Attrape-Couer arrived last night, so I will try that for the first time today and review later. Let's see what magic Guerlain has worked this time...

Mystery Scent B on left wrist. An hour later I became eric's scent twin on my right wrist with Spiriteuse Double Vanille (thanks again and again to Dimples!). Sorry to torture you, Riannon.

My girlfriend was hospitalized with pneumonia recently, so I'm extra concerned about Lievje's son's total and prompt recovery. The young can be so very quick to heal, you know. Sing him a lullaby and tell him there are women all over the whole of the earth surrounding him with nurturing thought.

Yes, it is time for a group hug, my many darlings. Come here, next to me and my under-the-desk radiant heater for a warm hug.

I apologize ahead of time for any torture I am inflicting as well, but am spending another day in the utterly delicious ........ SPIRITUEUSE D VANILLE. Gorgeous!!

Speedy recovery to all those who are ill.
Wishing a speedy recovery to Lievje son and Lievje too as I remember just how awful and sleepless having a sick child can be. PB you are so right about the blessing of modern medicines!

Well, I'm feeling better today, aches and pains are mostly behind me, and soon I'll probably embark on another ill-advised household project. DH needs a hobby that does not include miter saws and nail guns!

Counterintuitively, I am going to start the day on a woody note with a whole bouquet of cedars and wear Tumulte Pour Homme. This scent works well for women too, IMO. The cedar and incense are lovely and although I don't see it in the notes, I swear I smell some violets in there too!
I'm wearing Ambre Passion today. It's very aggressive, so I'm not wearing very much.

An Iris day for me.

Wearing SL Iris silver mist, L'Artisan Iris Pallida, & Prada Infusion d'Iris all at once on me currently.

Gave Botrytis a full wearing at work today and was very disappointed with the longevity and, sadly, it developed a slightly plasticky note that I've seen others mention. So, I don't think it's to be... sigh.
Then I did mucho spritzing at the Bay after work. I did so much that I got confused about what I put where but I think I was happy with SL Fleurs de Citronnier, L'Heure Bleu EdT (I can't find my decant of the parfum ANYWHERE!!!!), and Elle by YSL. There's a sheer, pepperiness to Elle that I find very appealing.
Now I'm in l'Artisan's Bois Farine and am sampling a bit of L'Orientaliste Patchouli. The Patchouli is very... patchouli. Holy macerated leaves, Batman! It claims to have some rose in there but I smell only a powerful patchouli that hairiest hippie would be proud to porter.

I voted for that as best new scent for 2007, based on the exclamations I've been seeing from vanilla lovers and non lovers alike on the boards.

Beachroses - Oh, that's great! Have you had a chance to try it yourself though? I love it, in all it's boozy, vanilliac glory!
