Best still available discontinued frags

Am sitting here looking out the window at fat big snowflakes, snug and cozy at home and spent the morning searching the BN directory using discontinued as a keyword, by launch year (decades). There seem to be tons of Avons, and lots of other scents/perfume houses I have no clue about starting in the 80's and 90's.

Was wondering what fragrances BN'ers have/adore or are thinking of buying that are still purchasable at discount sites (not vintage for auction on eBay)

Here's my list:

Boucheron
Eau Légère Boucheron (2005)
Borsari
Bouquet di Violette (crystal flacon)
Givenchy
L'interdit Perfume (original) not the new reformulation

Guerlain
Terracotta Voile d'Ete
Mahora
Aqua Allegoria Rosa Magnifica, and others (can't keep up with the discontinued list)

Nina Ricci
Nina 1987, not the new pink one

Patou
Nacre
Eau de Patou

Rochas
Madame Rochas

Black Cashmere - you can find it at Perfumania.

Madame Rochas is discontinued?
Pants! I only just discovered it and it's great Sunday Lunch scent.
I'll second Black Cashmere and add YSL Nu.
And a great one that you only just can't get anymore is L'Occitaine's old Neroli. I am sure they've got stocks of it somewhere and I've occasionally found L'Occitaine stuff in TK Maxx in the UK, so I will be looking out for it.

Hi Wordbird - there is a new version of Madame Rochas - that is in production - the original is from 1960 and the bottles are different.

Haven't sniffed the new one to see how they compare.

Have never sniffed either Black Cashmere or YSL Nu. Will check them out.

Hi Dee Olive
Phew. That's a relief. It's on pretty heavy rotation in my wardrobe so I'd hate to see it go.
I'm only just starting to scratch the surface of the 'classic' frags. But I figure there's a reason they're classics and I should try as many of them as I can. I always used to think they were too grown up for me, but time spent here has changed my mind.
Any tips from anyone on things I should be sure to smell before they disappear?

oh - I'll second Mahora as a great summer frag.

I just stocked up on:
-YSL Nu EdP which I got for a bargain £11 for the 50ml size
-Burberry Brit Red EdP (30ml) which I love to wear around Xmas time.

Terracotta Voile d'Ete is a gorgeous carnation/clove scent with a base of mitti, or baked earth. It's a huge beautiful bottle for only around $15US or so, a real steal.

I can walk into my local Hoopers and buy as many bottles of it as I want. Is it supposed to be discontinued then?

Atkinson's I Coloniali Javanese Cananga, but according to recent news on BN's homepage, the company has been bought out so maybe it will return! Their Peony scent is pretty and natural smelling, too. Even has peony petals floating in the bottle.

Black Cashmere, though a bit hard to come by, is not discontinued (yet). If you look at Donna Karan's official site you'll find it at full retail price:
