Does anyone know the story behind this?

Did the non exports used to come in these bottles once upon a time?

Is it something new?

Would it be fake?

From the Lutens' expert Bela on MUA (message from November):

"Just a reminder: The hitherto Exclusives Bois et Fruits and Un Bois Sépia are on sale in Export bottles"
"Bois et Fruits and Un Bois Sépia are on sale at Bergdorf Goodman in NYC (in Export bottles), but the only store they will be available at. They are not joining the Export range as such".

So, not a fake

But the limited edition treatment has now been given to THREE exclusives this year! As much as I love this house, I think they're pandering too much towards the masses. I'm sorry but, as difficult as it can be to obtain these exclusives, I love the fact that some require that extra effort in order to own them.

Thanks Riannon! I didn't realize Bois et Fruits was one of the Bergdorf exclusives and I didn't realize they came in 50ml bottles.

But Trebor -you're in London! for you the extra effort is ordering it online or a day trip to Paris! These exclusives can't be ordered online from Bergdorf's, plus they're $200!

$200 is a ridiculous price for a 50 ml. bottle! I just checked the exchange rate and the 75 ml. Paris bell jar at 105 is at the moment just a bit over $151.
