I am very happy with the amount of back catalogue and back up bottles I managed to purchase, mainly via BN members, thanks guys!
In particular I am happy with she silly amount of Patou I bought as well as all the Lanvin Vertyver available in Edinburgh, as well as some crackers from the TK Maxx, Le Must de Cartier, Guerlain Vetiver, Lagerfeld Classic, etc

Was there today (TK Maxx) ; they had 5 Versace the Dreamer, Sculpture by Nikos ( bought it) and loads of other stuff....

I'm sure I've tooted this horn enough, but I'll just throw them in for posterity.

Royal Briar by Carroll & Co. (formerly Atkinsons)
1776 by Elsha
Chanel Pour Monsieur Concentree (squint and you get Tiffany for Men)
Jockey Club by Caswell Massey

My biggest surprise was learning that Chevignon smells *exactly* like Polo Crest, which has long been discontinued. Needless to say I stocked up on that one.

Prada Amber pour homme. For me, it truly is a scent of contrasts - clean and soapy, incensey and gourmandy. Feminine and masculine. At home in the office or on a date. Beautiful.

For me it is one that I had never heard of until an SA put a sample in my bag. Surprised me as I kept sniffing at it and finally purchased it.

Eau des Merveilles Flacon Pégase d'Hermès
post #87 of 99
Mine choices for 2007 would be . . .

Chanel 19 - This has quickly become my signature scent and I get heaps of praise about it whenever I wear it. I have all three variations with backups.

Creed Millesime Imperial - I was in Neiman's buying some 19 and the SA I was talking to said I needed to try some Creed. She initially suggested Spring Flower, but I personally couldn't wear it. She then pointed out one of her favorites, MI. I was entranced and bought a bottle last month. She suggested using it for layering, but I find it's perfect on it's own. Although sometimes I like to put it over whatever my SotD as it starts to wear off. Has generated some very pleasing smells.

Fou d'Absinthe - Whenever I need a blast of a evergreen forest I reach for this. Easily my favorite L'Artisan!

I was afraid of M7 being discontinued after hearing all the rumors and finding it more and more difficult to attain online. I snapped up a bottle and learned to love it. I liked it so much that I also purchased a bottle of M7 Fresh, which I have wanted since back when I joined Basenotes, but was not able to find. The first time I tried M7 Fresh (way back when), I did not like it too much. After I understood and fell in love with M7, I instantly was blown away with M7 Fresh.

Satisfied.

My purchases last year included Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille, Czech&Speak no.88 and Domenico Caraceni , but to me the best release of 2007 hands down was Annick Goutals Ambre Fettiche.

Simply the Best!, as Tina would say

KL - lagerfeld
francesco smalto - PH

i know, pretty easy ones..i stay in india and its difficult to get an L'artisan or lutens over here. neverthless i source most of my colognes from US. mostly from fragranx.com coudl anyone suggest a reliable site where is could source some really exotic scents like montale or luten alike?

my collection is pretty small, just around 25 which includes, jacomo -rouge, FCUK, mont blanc - presense, lagerfeld- classic, photo and KL, austin reed (a rip off of chanel allure sport), davidoff - echo, lacoste style in play, diesel zero plus, abusson, azzaro - chrome, silver black, baldessarini, tommy - true star (got it as a gift, hate it...), a assorted set of calvin klein (again a gift), halston - unbound et some more

I like Gucci pour Homme II the most from the 2007 releases, and it is quickly becoming my signature scent. I really think its much better than the original.
