I have been confounded by the lack of information on Fracas for Men out there. So, I wrote to the folks at Robert Piguet Parfums:
"What is the deal with Fracas for Men? Is this a scent that was created in
the House of Piquet? When was it introduced? Why is the packaging so
different from the women's Fracas products? Who designed it? Does your
company claim it? Is it merely a license to use the name? Why does it say
"Made in U.S.A." and the others say "Made in France"? Please shed some light
on this mysterious subject."
Their response was:
"The Fracas for Men that you see on some websites is not authentic because we
are the official licensee for the Robert Piguet brands and we do not
manufacturer this product, I don't know if it is counterfeit of very old
merchandise from the past owners of the brand.
Please be assured that what we sell on www.robertpiguetparfums.com is the
authentic fragrances that are made by the fine fragrance division of
Givaudan who hold the original formulas to the Robert Piguet fragrances."
So- I feel duped. How about you? If you like the product- should you not buy it on principle? I still wonder where it came from.
