What's your fave fresh/fruity/floral fragrance?

I know it's out there, that elusive anything-but-the-ordinary fresh/fruity/floral (with great sillage) but short of sending away for every conceivable fragrance sample, can anyone share their favorites?
I'm not personally into the fresh/fruity genre...but I think Un Jardin Sur Le Nil by Hermes is top notch! You can sample this at any Sephora store, of which Chicago has plenty! Good luck!
Not my family of fragrances, but Fleur de Figuier from Molinard is nice.
I agree with ubeuandibeme's recommendation: Un Jardin sur le Nil by Hermes. I will also add: Calyx by Prescriptives.

Worth courtesan.

biehl parfumkunstwerke - Arturetto Landi - al02

Heart: jasmine, rose, carnation, cardamom, cinnamon
Base: incense, labdanum, tonka beans, vanilla, vetiver, patchouli, sandalwood

Ebba Miss Marisa

L'Occitane Verbena Harvest - lemon, verbena and rose geranium

Cartier Panthere Eau Legere - grapefruit, white florals, woods

I have been wanting this, but haven't tried it yet...

Annick Goutal Quel Amour! - peony, wild roses, pink geranium, pomegranate, blueberry, redcurrant, Morello cherry, peach.
Not great on the sillage or the longevity, but I think my fave fresh/fruity/floral would have to be Champs Elysee. Peaches galore. Also, I love Aqua Allegoria Pivione Magnifica, but that just dies away within about half an hour. The peony is lovely though.

Ah, I've been sampling AL02, and I love it - but I don't find it all that fruity. The strength of this fragrance for me is in the dry-down. Very sensuous and smooth.

What about Hermes Un Jardin en Mediteranee too? Figs rather than mangos and beautifully fresh and transparent. Lasts 3 or 4 hours on me, so not bad for a fresh frag.

Creed Virgin Island Water has lime and coconut over a light rum base and is utterly addictive because it's mouthwatering without being sweet and sticky. Amazing stuff.

Clarins Eau Resourcante is a lovely sheer rosy/ rich floral that also doesn't get cloying or sticky (blue bottle, sister fragrance to the famous red 'wake up' citrus of Eau Dynamisante, which is actually a good citrus and probably worth a smell too, while you're at the Clarins counter).

On the subject of citrus, there are the Guerlain Aqua Allegorias and more specifically Pampelune, which is a shouty, fizzy grapefruit. I love it but it might not be what you're looking for. Luckily there's a whole slew of AAs so I would think this range would offer you something you'll like - they're all quite light and sheer, so look through the list in the directory and see what appeals. Some are discontinued, but you can often pick them up on ebay or at online retailers. Or you can put out a plea for a sample and see if a kind soul here on basenotes will send you one (they often will - they're nice like that).

JLO Miami Glow is pretty big on the sillage and is a fruity floral.

and what about one that's not a floral but is fruity and is just plain unusual?
Hermes Eau De Merveilles. Try it while you're at the Hermes counter smelling those Jardins.

Not sure if it's a fruity/floral, but Roma (Laura Biagiotti) has a lovely, fresh top
note of blackcurrant leaves with mint and a soft floral heart (rose, jasmine)
followed by a civet/balsam/woody/vanilla drydown. It's very unusual and
distinctive. I love this one in the warmer months.

MPG's Fraiche Passiflore
I'm not really a huge fan of fruity florals, but I do like:
- Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom & Honey (nicely blended and pleasently sweet)
- Estée Lauder Pure White Linen (my favorite of all the Lauder's) and Pleasures Exotic
- Clarins Par Amour Toujours (perfect if one loves grapefruit and redcurrants)

Very true Clemmie. I get plenty of fruit in the opening and then it turns more floriental with a well orchestrated sensual base accord.

One other addition: Parfums DelRae Bois de Paradis, my favorite blackberry note of all. Wrapped in cinnamon and roses and served over a rich bed of precious woods and mild amber. Outstanding sillage, longevity, presence and movement.

Oh Gawd - y'all are making me HONGRY!!

I adore fruity florals - but more toward the sweeter fruits and lush florals. Right now my favorite is Missoni citrus and (I would swear) berries and roses and chocklit over musky amber - but that could change once I get started on some of your suggestions......
Another vote for Aqua Allegoria - this time for Grosellina (redcurrant). It has notes of raspberry leaf and redcurrant. Lovely.
I also like the cheap and cheerful Nina Ricci "Belles de Ricci" Liberty Fizz (the one in the green bottle with the pink cap) - it's a raspberry/tomato blend. Fresh and nice.
Neither lasts at all well though.
Ava Luxe Forbidden Fruits has much better staying power, particularly in the parfum, if you can get hold of some. It's not what I'd call fresh but it's very fruity indeed - berries and pomegranate.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot about Jo Malone's French Lime Blossom.
I also agree with the Guerlain AA series!
Bois de Paradis is lucious, in a delicate, pure kind of way. A favorite!
Another more interesting one is by Caron; Royal bain de champagne,. Fruity, florally, but exotic and fresh.
I like the male version of Tommy....mostly Citrus, though,so not really a fruity floral,I guess. You could also try to layer scents to create your own fruity-floral combo
post #20 of 50
Jean Patou's Un Amour de Patou is my absolute favorite.
The H&R Fragrance Genealogy poster is very helpful, there are categories for Fresh, Fruity and Floral. Don't forget to look at the lists on the sides too.

My daughter likes Ralph Rocks, it is a fresh fruity.

I really like Gres Cabaret, I think it is a fresh floral (rose).

Today I'm testing Eau de Cartier, it is a chypre fresh citrus perfect for summer.

Seriously, that description just made my mouth water! I can't wait to try this one.

Mine too. So sad that it's been discontinued. It's a sin!

I enthusiastically second (third?) the Bois de Paradis recommendation! It smells simply divine, and is one of my top favorites. There are many notes, yet all are harmoniously blended together. And it's wonderful for cool weather.

Is Christian Dior J'Adore a fruity floral?

If I were to wear fruity florals, it would be J'Adore because it's one of very few florals that lasts on my skin, has good sillage, is easy to wear(can go just about anywhere- any season) and easy to find(I'm not ordering samples of fruity florals since they're not my "thing").

Guess Gold

One of my all-time favorites is Un Air de Molinard-
Just as gorgeous as can be- but it's not a sillage monster.
I love Diorella!
Amor Amor
Allure
Christian Lacroix
Fendi's Celebration
Many MPGs
You've just reminded me of another Molinard - Nirmala.
Mango, passion fruit, grapefruit and mandarin with jasmine
and fleur des iles. Truly divine and as fruity/floral fresh as the
riviera where it was conceived.
I second that !
Annick Goutal - Petite Chérie, Folavril
Byblos
Jennifer Lopez - Live
Prescriptives - Calyx
Valentino - classique
Kadota by Michael Storer definitely belongs here.. figgy, creamy, soft green, fruited but not sweet. Perfect for linen in spring.
It isn't particularly special or unique, but my favorite it Pure White Linen.
I'm pretty new to scents, but of all that I've smelled (just about all of Macy's and Sephora) I like Beyond Paradise Blue by Estee Lauder.

Ooooh, Moon Sparkle! Tell me more, I've been so curious about this one!
I love Vigin Island Water and Zeste Pamplemousse when sprayed over a dab of neroli essential oil.
My wardrobe seems to lean more toward wintery, spicy gourmands lately, but of the fresh/fruity scents I have, I would recommend L'Artisan Mure et Musc Extreme and Floris Pink Grapefruit. Osmoz categorizes Mure as floral-fruity, and Pink Grapfruit as citrus.

Also Maybe Baby, by Benefit:

Top note : \tBergamot, Ginger, Litchi\t
Middle note : \tApricot, Cyclamen, Sweet Peach
Base note : \tHimalayan poppy, white musks

Edited to add: These three are light and wouldn't seem to have a lot of sillage, but they last pretty strong on me.

I tried this at a fragrance festival. It smelled very sweet and berry like. It will remind you of those B&BW scents. The berries really came through on me. I liked it, but it didn't like me. It's funny because I let a friend smell it on me and he liked it, but I didn't like the way it turned on me. Some Escada frags just don't agree with me for some reason, especially the limited edition ones. Magnetism/Magnetic Beat smell wonderful on me though. Go figure.

The funny thing to me about these limited edition Escada frags is that they all smell the same to me for some reason. Moon Sparkle smells like the rest of them, but with berries added to it. It really is a delicious smell though. If you like sweet smelling frags, then you will like Moon Sparkle. My friend chose Flowerbomb over the Moon Sparkle, but he really liked Moon Sparkle as well. It seems that most of the men I come across just love sweet frags on the ladies.

Mmmm, I love fruity florals. My pick would be Un Jardin en Mediterranee, Champs-Elysees, the new Versace and Benefit Maybe Baby.
Oh I just came to think about one more after Frenchie Day's post...I second Champs Elysees
post #42 of 50
I love YSL Yvresse and Champs Elysees.

Fresh + Fruity + Floral = Origins Spring Fever. The body lotion is fabulous!

Notes from the Origins website
Artemesia, Apple, Marigold and Linden Blossom and tickled them with tangy Mandarin, lush Cypress and sparkling Watermelon
post #44 of 50
I would go for Bryant Park- rhubarb and raspberry for the fruityness, and lily of the valley and rose for the floral! perfect
post #45 of 50
Mmmmm Creed Spring Flower
West Side by Bond No. 9
Ombre Bleau by Jean-Charles Brousseau is a beautiful lush fruity-floral. It has pineapple, coconut, mango, and white flowers. It also has a little powder and spice. That's why I can wear it without it turning soapy. I get it from Alexander's Perfume and Cosmetics in La Jolla, California. Their customer service is superb.

After too much deliberation and sniffage, I think I've narrowed it down to Champs Elysees, Mentafollia, and Roma...
Couldn't have done it without you, dearhearts

I bought a bottle of Roma and love it. Thanks for the tip!
My other loves, thanks to all of your posts, are Orange Tonic, Mentafollia, and some of the other Guerlain AA's. Think I'm ready for the warm months. Now, if only the stubborn midwestern sun would come out...

Caron Miss Rocaille is my big fave of the fresh/fruity/floral scents.
A lot from this category are boring - this is interesting and unique.
I wear it on hot summer days - it does make me feel very fresh and uplifted. I can imagine that the basil might end up smelling masculine on some. On me it's just nice and feminine.

Jasmin, pistachio absolute, white musk, green lily of the valley, water lily, mandarin zest, Vietnamese basil, orange blossom.
