The Chemistry of Fragrances

Thread Starter
I just received a book that I ordered from Amazon.com titled "The Chemistry of Fragrances", 2nd Ed., 2006, by Charles Sell, and was wondering if anyone has read it. I literally just pulled it out the mailbox so I can't provide a review but glancing at the pictures (yeah, I always do that first), it looks like a pretty good read, if a bit on the technical side for a non-chemist. One interesting observation - there doesn't appear to be a single reference to Luca Turin, even in the chapter titled "Chemoreception". More to come later...

Don't know that one. Years ago, I had a copy of Poucher, but it got lost in a move. Pity...

That should be a sign of the regard of Turin and his theories in the chemoperception community.

Thanks Snafoo.
It's on the "to skim" list next time I hit up Borders.
Please dig up this thread whenever you hit something big in the book.
