Male fragrance top 10 in your country?

Thread Starter
I was wondering about he different Top 10-selling male scents in different countries. In Holland, there are basically two big perfume stores (a la Macy's or Sephora), and one of them lists the following on their website:

www.iciparisxl.nl

1. JPG Le Male
2. Armani Acqua di Gio
3. Chanel Homme Allure Sport
4. Armani Black Code
5. Boss Bottled
6. Davidoff Cool Water
7. Chanel Homme Allure
8. Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue
9. IM L'eau d'Issey
10. Jil Sander Sun Men

So, what's the top 10 in your country?

In Norway it's pretty much the same. I don't have any source to support it, but I know Lacoste Style in Play and Essential are also huge here.

Perfumeworld .net (encyclopedia of world perfumes; their words) has a top ten. It spans 1995-2003 and is quite comprehensive in some years. In addition to Basenotes I visit that site along with Osmoz. Perfumeemporium has reviews too but they are completely worthless compared to the thought that goes into those here on Bnotes. Basenotes is the best however.

5. Sean John Unforgivable

I don't have any valid source, that's just my impression but pretty correct, I strongly believe...
1.Armani Attitude
2.Le Male
3.Acqua di Gio
4.Black Code
5.Fahrenheit 32
6.L'eau d'Issey
7.Gucci pour Homme
8.Bvlgari Aqva
9.Diavolo A. Banderas
10.Fleur du Male

Maybe you're thinking "Diavolo?! What the hell that scent is doing there?!". Well, Diavolo is very cheap and you may find it in every (and I mean in EVERY) store.
However, the bestseller lists are "created" by the ordinary people (not by the experts or the real scent admirers) and the ordinary people just want to smell as... something. Their taste is created by the (very aggressive) commercials which are "help" to them and tell them what they should smell like.
To them, the most popular scent is always the best scent, as well. No originality, no creativity, no consideration... and they all smell the same way.

I don't know if I should be bothered or elated that Prada PH is #1. I don't love the scent as much as I used to, but still think it's special enough to own, and also think it's a step up from the typical designer stuff.

I haven't smelled it on anyone else, yet.

IIRC, the the US men's prestige fragrance (these are fragrances sold in department stores and retailers like Sephora) Top 10 in 2007 was:

1: Acqua di Gio (Giorgio Armani/L'Oreal)
2: Unforgivable (Sean John/Estee Lauder)
3: Armani Code (Giorgio Armani)
4: Euphoria Men (Calvin Klein/Coty)
5: Polo Double Black (Ralph Lauren/L'Oreal)
6: Chrome (Azzaro/Clarins)
7: RSVP (Kenneth Cole/Coty)
8: Eternity (Calvin Klein)
9: Voyage (Nautica/Coty)
10: Le Male (Jean Paul Gaultier/Beaute Prestige International)

The score: Coty four, L'Oreal three, BPI one, Lauder one, and Clarins one.

Cool Water is in the top 20... however, it is not in the top 10, as Coty sells a lot of it to pharmacies and discount stores (which are not counted in prestige fragrance sales figures). If they were, though, Cool Water would surely be a lot higher on the list...

Something to ponder. It is estimated that 80 percent of all consumer purchases are made by women, so if you want to know what fragrance women like these top 10 lists may have relevance to you as an individual.

-Dunhill(Desire Red and Blue)
-Givenchy(Pi, Pour Homme Red, Blu Lable &...)

-And a little place for Bvlgari

well I have a different story to tell here, please note women fragrance are popular among men here & I am listing what I have spotted & been sniffing around on guys recently in the malls , cafe , work, gym, etc,,,,

1- Oud: it is a classic here either as an oil or burned chips.
2- Mukhalats: means 'blend' , I can't specify one brand or a perfume since they vary in price & heaviness as the guys here blend differnt oils & sprays beside the burnt oud as the final touch,,, which gives me a big headache.
3-Tuscan Leather by TF : & there are many cheaper fake variations here as well.
4- Black Orchide by TF
5-Oud Leather by Montale
6- Oud Wood by TF
7- Stella by Stella McArtney
8- Narcis Rodreguiz for her
9- Eau Sauvage by Dior
10- YSL L'Homme
11- HUGO
12- Silver Mountain Water by Creed

note: I made it 12, just in case that Oud & Mukhalats are not counted.
