SotD Friday 29th of February

Thread Starter
Tis the last day of February and weather has turned really cold - Autumn is here already! So I'm all prepared in my sample of Amour de Cacao and a mug of hot chocolate. Is everyone ready for diversity month?

Have a great day and TGIF!

Have decided to end this month of bizarre weather and dramatic happenings with a safe staple of mine: Revlon Fire & Ice. This is just perfect for a slow, lazy, slightly hung-over Friday.

Gris Clair again.

Cuir de Russie by Chanel
I will spend March in fragrances created by female perfumers, so this is the last chance to luxuriate in Lutens/Sheldrake.

Starting the day in Chergui, for the afternoon Cuir Mauresque and tonight.....Rahät Loukoum

*a whole month without Lutens? *

In trouble, kneedeep!

The postman just delivered your wonderful parcel. And NO WAY I will leave that untouched for a whole month.

So, the SotD will be from a female nose, the SotE however ........one of 'Buni's Beauties' or 'Lutens Luxuries'

Me too! Just got my sample from TPC. It's lovely but I think I'll stick with La Chasse for my girly white floral.

Doing some baking today for my niece's birthday, so thought SPIRITUEUSE DOUBLE VANILLE would be a lovely and yummy baking partner!

And for all you wonderful but chilly Aussies, I have room at my house too! Come on up!

Congratulations on your triumph, Magpie!

My tester of MOLINARD de MOLINARD arrived yesterday. I may absorb half the bottle (love this stuff) after I shower in a few minutes.

What is this "spring" some of you are talking about? Wait ... a memory is surfacing...

Another Estèe Lauder for today:

hmmm, oooohhhh, ahhhhh! I can smell you from here, Spicegirl.

Madame X again for me today. I keep on reaching for this one, but today, it's not working on me

Going out to a wine tasting party tonight. hmmm... will SOTE be Nuit Noire for the evening to complement my outfit (I rarely dress up to go out for evening events).... or Ambre Narguile to complement the wine and food.... or maybe Botrytis to complement the wine (thanks for the sample LIB!).... luckily I don't have to make this decision until tonight. Any thoughts??

Boucheron Homme (edp version)
Bleeker Street from a sample.
Mmmm, everyone smells yummy in my mind... I'm feeling stressed and a bit fragile today, so my current old new favorite was in order: Ambre Narguile.
...Wish I could smell anything!
Misouko again today.
I'm hoping to wear only frags by female perfumers (or scents inspired by women, which should make it easier! Don't think I can go a month without wearing Neil Morris' gorgeous Parfum d'Ida or Odette) for March, so warming up this BITTER cold day in Lorenzo Villoresi Spezie.
Wearing Lalique Le Parfum for one last time. It is lovely but I want to fund some new buys so off to ebay it will go soon.
Working from home today - the bug may have finally caught up.
Interestingly, it's had the effect of amplifying my nose.

Started the morning in Ayala Moriel Song of Songs - a pretty myrrh
After a shower, now wearing - DSH Fire Opal. This one reminds me of mulled wine.

Might work nicely for an evening of wine and cheese tasting.....

BTW - Dimples, Botrytis really makes wine taste yummy! I vote for that one!

hmmm, oooohhhh, ahhhhh! I can smell you from here, Spicegirl.

Oh Lord DIMPLES..... have I over-applied again? Hehehe......
Sorry to hear the great "Madame" isn't working for you today. I hate when that happens!

I think after i decide to change out of my boxers and old work shirt turned sleep shirt i'll wear chanel 19. the boyfriend is coming over so we can go to the mall, pay his macy's bill, and after that maybe go wander about. I've got a 50 dollar macy's card burning a hole in my purse, and another 75 dollar visa gc which i'm hoping will go to something perfumed and lovely. :-)

Wearing Daim Blond today.

I went upstairs three times today to put on fragrance, and three times came back down unscented with a load of laundry. Sheesh. Finally I spritzed on some Chance by Chanel from a sample. It's really too sweet for my taste, but I've got a lot of yard work to do, new holes to dig (whaddya mean Kaffir lilies don't like full sun?! It's been there all winter!), and its youthfulness is invigorating. So, I'm off to rotate laundry and move the lily.

That Karl Lagerfeld Chloe Narcisse that I put in the morning is a laster. There were times (early 90's) that it was one of the three bottles I owned and did not even think about the whole fragrant Universe somewhere out there. Not listed in the Directory and getting harder and harder to get. Will definitely return to it, and recommend to everyone looking for a floral with a nuclear staying power and magnificent throw.

ComDiva, I suppose you will be just fine with d'Ida and Odette, they are all female names. I will probably be fine with Chloe as well, who says it is male?
Nothing today (!), but L'Heure Bleue when I get home.
