Well, it's past midnight, I have insomnia and I splashed on some more Youth Dew Bath Oil. I smell like potpourri!

Givenchy
Eau de Givenchy
(1982)

Top Notes: Bergamot oil, Fruit Notes, Green Note, Spearmint, Tagetes
Middle Notes: Cyclamen, Jasmine, Lily of the Valley, Orris, Rose
Base Notes: Cedar, Moss, Musk, Sandal
A touch of green and herbal note in the top with a floral bouquet in the heart and a woody-mossy base note all make for a gentle
yet rich breath of springtime meadows. This will make a comforting scent for a mild, sunny day.

In what is, as of about five minutes ago, the vintage formulation. Ah, only a year on these boards and I've earned my first moment of nostalgia. It is lovely stuff.

Happy Monday everyone!!!

For this, today's last day of Diversity Month, I decided to push the season in Parfums de Rosine Rosa Flamenca.

According to perfumesmellinthings, Rosa Flamenca, was created by Marie-Hélène Rogeon as an homage to the gardens of Andalusia. Notes are orange blossom, bergamot, petit grain, rose, sandalwood, benzoin, figwood, and white musk. For me, Rosa Flamenca says "summer" and "celebrate" all in one sniff.

Speed Man by O Boticário, it's... interesting but why does it leave a metallic taste in my mouth when I sniff?

Even though it's cool and grey and raining, the dogwoods decided to burst into bloom this morning - and smack in the middle of the dead twigs of the lantana are three brilliant red tulips!

SO glad I scheduled my favert figgy...

"The inspiration for Figue Amere came during a trip to the hot barren coastline of Ibiza. Here Lyn discovered the unique bitter ripe green figs, a curious contrast of fleshy fruit and astringent salt." (Musthavethis)

I think it's the Limey in me (Daddy was a Brit) that makes me appreciate Lyn Harris' take on fresh fruit in a salty sea atmosphere and makes it perfect for this chill rainy day at the beach!
