Recs please... what florals could you wear for a big night out?

hello my fellow basenoters !
i don't know why but recently i am very attracted to florals and i just want to wear them all the time ! so far i've tried all sorts of green, fresh, fruity, tropical, white ones and they are all divine for day-time and some are great at night too, for going to the pub or dinner. Some of my faves are Sung, Sand & Sable, Michael Kors... but now i'm looking for something i can wear for a special evening out and get noticed - something with sillage thats sexy and strong without losing its 'floralness'. in other words i don't want another floriental... or a chypre.
i think maybe its an aldehydic i need?? but i don't know... not familiar with this ground at all, so please give me some ideas if you can think of anything that fits my description! thanx

How about Tuberose Gardenia by Estee Lauder?
My top picks would be:
Lutens - A La Nuit
Pascal Morabito - Or Noir (floal with aldehydes)
L'Artisan - La Chasse aux Papillons Extreme

Try Blonde by Versace (may be discontinued, but you can still buy it online)
It's a BIG, voluptuous scent - heavy on the Tuberose and long-lasting.
If you like Fracas or Mahora you may like this one a lot. Men go ga-ga over it
apparently!

Classic "L'air du temps"

Have you come across Renee's Tuberose? Quite strong but not over the top, just very smooth and feminine.

I'm with sofresh on this one ~ Estee Lauder's Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia all the way!

Good choice! Ages since I ran out of this...need to re-stock...

Another great sexy floral for evening would be Shiaparelli Shocking. Great sillage, longevity and it's very sexy (IMO, of course!).

I like to wear big florals for special nights out too My choices are usually Fracas, Annick Goutal Grand Amour and Heure Exquise and Caron Bellodgia.

I agree with Clemmie's suggestion of SHOCKING, and will throw in Caron's MONTAIGNE. They are beautiful florals with great longevity and sillage. I've received several compliments on these frags from both sexes!

An aldehydic floral, who is great if it suits you, is Madame Rochas. Not so big price, either. Worth a try!
And, of course, there is the most sold perfume in the world, also an aldehydic floral, Chanel No 5.

My choice would be Fracas.

I'd suggest Bvlgari Femme and Hermés 24 Fauborg

I just fell off a long wagon ride and it's Vivienne Westwood's Boudoir that did it.
It's big and sexy alright. I get jasmine with rose, a hint of deep spice, tobacco, and clean sweat all softened by a lingering trace of powder that proves I was fresh and clean very recently. I cringe after all this time on basenotes, to say this, but I think it depends (only a bit!) on your age. Boudoir would be too, too much on someone under twenty. It doesn't scream, but does announce with low voiced certainty-- "I'm not innocent.' It reminds me of a Sheryl Crow song-- "Are you strong enough to be my man?"

The thing is, I think, it absolutely is a fresh, soft, floral -- mixed with the scent of a satisfied man.

Another vote for Fracas.

Fracas for me too.
And Versace Blonde.
Je Reviens - in parfum strength. Yum!
Fracas, yes, but don't forget Joy.
Black Orchid is a good gala floral as well.

I also agree with sofresh - Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia by Estee Lauder sounds perfect.

Don't be afraid, but I suggest you Giorgio Beverly Hills. I know, when it came out, it was banned in restaurants (women sprayed it too much), but the key to wear it well is not overapply. It has an amazing floral sillage, and it is long lasting.

Top Notes: Bergamot, mandarin, galbanum, greens, fruits
Heart Notes: Jasmine, rose, carnation, ylang-ylang, orris, lily of the valley, hyacinth
Base Notes: Sandalwood, cedarwood, musk, moss, amber

A similar is Dior Pure Poison: mandarin, orange flower, jasmine, gardenia, amber, sandalwood, musk.

I agree with Fracas and Joy (preferably parfum version), and I have re-fallen in love with Perfumers Workshop Tea Rose (cheap at discount places) - it has huge, romantic rose presence, and it has a sexy drydown. Hey, Nicole Kidman wore it to the Oscars. It's not to everybody's taste, though, so test first. I like the suggestion of Tom Ford Black Orchid, but it's also very gourmand to my nose, not strictly floral, though the hair mist, which is less intense, would be fabulous.

Carnal Flower definitely smells "big night out" to me....
Also, Black Orchid comes as a hair perfume/shine product in a gorgeous, over-the-top gold bottle that is definitely boudoir-worthy and adds a very glam touch to the getting ready process...which, i think, is almost the best part of a "big night out"
