So ... what is it?

I ask because I have fallen in love with Hermes "Un Jardin du Mediterranee" and was eyeing CB I hate perfumes "Memory of Kindness" and got thinking ...

What is the best summery vegetal fragrance?

For me, when July arrives, I break out Diptyque's Virgilio to celebrate the heat. Very serious herbs, dude.

Angeliques Sous La Pluis and Iris Silver Mist.

I've said it before and will say it again:

Ô pour Homme by Lancôme! (discontinued of course)

Blast, we're still on the first page of this thread and Mike and Ruggles have already beaten me to mention of my herbal/vegetal summer favorites: Baime and Virgilio. Tops.

Aramis 900 is ignored (gratefully now) but a genuine work of art. No longevity on me. For a lift Lacoste Booster is another very green very cooling scent.

ADP Colonia Assoluta is great. I prefer it to Colonia and Irish Silver Mist is like Mace to me. I understand the perfumer used every Iris he could think of and then a dollop of the expensive Iris but it's funereal to me.

I love this one, but I'm not sure I would consider it herbal or vegetal. Baime is great, but i sometimes get a little burned out on the strong basil note.

I really like CdG's Calamus. It is the most vegetal thing I own.Wonderful green, celery, leafy notes. Pm me if you want a sample (and you live in US).

A nice figgy green is Diptyque's Philosykos. Hrmmm I wonder where my bottle of that went.....

Well the notes include rosemary, which is a herb... but you're right, it's not really that herbal.

What about those cheapo Herbissimo ones by Dana? Are they for hot weather?

Sisley Eau de Campagne. Very green, tomato leaves and grasses and everything in between.

not sure you'd categorize a tea scent with what you are looking for, but Victor Green Tea is great, green tea with a burst of citrus, refreshing especially if you've been out in the sun all day.

I don't know that I would classify them as true "herbals", but for summer I enjoy:

- Iceberg Twice Homme - Has notes of thyme and tarragon

- Etro Lemon Sorbet - Has notes of rosemary

- Jo Malone Lime, Basil & Mandarin - Has notes of basil and thyme

Romeo Gigli's Sud Est is herbal all the way. Amazing fragrance.
